Important Safeguards

This appliance is not intended for use by people ( including children ) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

  • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
  • farm houses;
  • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
  • bed and breakfast type environments.

WARNING: The filling aperture must not be opened during use.

The appliance must not be immersed. The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

  1. Align the notch on the ” Single-cup / double-cup strainer ” with the notch on the ” Metal funnel “and pit it axially.
  2. Rotate the ” Single-cup / double-cup strainer ” to stick the bump into the ” Metal funnel “.

Precautions

  1. To ensure safety, please read the Product Manual carefully to master the correct method of use.
  2. Please keep the Product Manual well for future reference.
  3. Check whether the voltage of the socket corresponds to the parameter in the nameplate of the coffee maker before use.
  4. The coffee maker is equipped with the grounding protection; please make sure that a grounded socket is provided.
  5. Be sure to keep children away from it when in use.
  6. In order to prevent fire and electric shock, be sure to keep power cord or plug away from water or other liquids; be sure not to damage, excessively bend or stretch the power cord; do not place heavy objects on the power cord.
  7. When cleaning the machine or not in use, please unplug the plug, and clean the accessories. Make sure your appliance cools down.
  8. Do not use the coffee maker in high-temperatures, high-field or humid environment; do not place the coffee maker on any hot surface, near a fire source, or on other electrical appliances, such as refrigerator.
  9. In case of damaged power cord or plug, fault in coffee maker or other damages, be sure not to turn on the coffee maker; please return it to the nearest authorized service center for inspection or contact the dealer.
  10. Be sure to use original accessories.
  11. The coffee maker is only used for making coffee; please do not use it for other purposes. Please place coffee machine in dry environments at all times.
  12. Please place the coffee maker on a flat surface or table; be sure not to hang the power cord on the edge of a table or counter.
  13. Make sure that the power cord does not touch the hot surface of the appliance.
  14. Be sure not to touch the hot components on the surface by hands white operating the coffee maker.
  15. Clean and maintain components of the coffee maker regularly to ensure quality of coffee and extend the service life of the coffee maker.
  16. When the coffee machine is working, do not move or turn off the power at will.
  17. It is forbidden to operate under the water-free status
  18. Do not clean the coffee maker or the power cord in water or other liquids.
  19. Do not use it outdoors.
  20. Please boil it twice with water to remove the odor before the first use.
  21. For household use only, be sure not to use it for other purposes

Preparation for First use / use under Cold Machine Status

  1. Pour water into the water tank; the water level must not exceed the” Max ” mark in the water tank.

  2. Plug in the power cord into a power socket and press ” On / Off button “, turn on the ” Steam knob”, when all other buttons are illuminating, press the ” Manual control button “, let the water flow out of the steam pipe about 100ml, then press the ” Manual control button ” again to stop brewing the water and turn off the ” Steam knob “, after that the coffee maker starts pre-heating; until all the button lights are always on, the preheating is finished, with need of about 2 minutes.
    Note: The internal electronic pump will vibrate when the water is discharged from the coffee maker.

  3. Press the ” Double-cup coffee button “to flow out the hot water to clean the coffee strainer or the coffee cup.

Start Making Coffee / under the Hot Machine Status

  1. While the coffee maker is preheating, add some coffee powder into the” Metal strainer ” and press it down with the” Coffee spoon “; moreover, clean the coffee powder on the edge of the funnel with a brush or by hands.
  2. Insert the ” Funnel ” and lock it according to the indication sign, then place the coffee cup beneath the ” Funnel “.
  3. After the ” Single-cup / double-cup coffee button ” is selected, one to two cups of coffee flows out of the coffee maker; the coffee maker will stop brewing coffee automatically after its done.
  4. Press the ” Manual control button ” to make appropriate amount of coffee according to your needs, and press the ” Manual control button ” again to stop discharging coffee. Moreover, adjust the position of the coffee cup, so that the coffee liquid flows into the cup along the cup wall.
  5. Wait a while until the coffee drips off.
  6. Turn the funnel handle from right to left, then remove the metal funnel and the strainer. Be careful contents might be hot. Hold funnel handle and press the hook buckle, pour out the coffee grounds, then clean the strainer, metal funnel and the brewing head carefully.
  7. If the coffee machine is not used for a long time, empty the water tank and turn it off. Clean it before using it the next time.

Note: Add one measuring spoon of coffee powder ( recommend 7g ) for each cup. For coffee powder please use espresso machine special coffee powder and be sure it isn’t too fine.

Steam Milk-Frothing Function

  1. When the ” Steam button ” is selected, the light starts flashing, until the indicator light changes from flashing into being on always; then the pre-heating is finished.

  2. Pour the iced whole milk of 1/3 in the garland cup, insert the steam nozzle into the 1CM-deep milk surface, and then slowly unscrew the ” Steam knob ” until the steam sprays out.
    Note: The size of the steam can be adjusted according to personal proficiency. A little water in the steam pipe shall be released before the milk frothing.

  3. When the milk temperature reaches about 75 degrees, the milk froth starts to expand; then turn off the ” Steam knob ” and the ” Steam button ” .
    Note: After the milk froth is finished, clean the milk on the surface of the steam jacket with a damp cloth timely, and spray out the steam again for 5s to prevent the milk from being dried up so it doesn’t block the steam outlet.

  4. Turn off the ” On / Off button ” finally.

  5. Then shake the garland cup on the table to fully melt the milk froth, and then pour it into the coffee cup.

Note: Cocoa powder / chocolate cream can be sprinkled on the coffee according to personal preference; additionally, various fancy utensils can be used in making a cup of your favorite Italian fancy coffee.

Note: When milk foaming is complete and you want to make another cup of espresso, please don’t remove the metal funnel immediately, it may cause coffee grounds to splash. So make sure the coffee machine is completely cooled before using. In order to cool down the coffee machine properly, we suggest to proceed “ Hot Water Function ” .

Hot Water Function

  1. After the ” On / Off button ” is selected, other button lights flash, and the coffee maker starts pre-heating; after the pre-heating is finished, the button light is always on; press the ” Manual control button ” and turn on the ” Steam knob “, until the steam nozzle discharges hot water. The hot water can be used for drinking, cleaning or heating cups.
  2. After completion, turn off the ” Steam knob ” to ” OFF ” , and then press the ” Steam button ” .
  3. Turn off the ” On / Off button ” finally.

Coffee Brewing Time Setting Function

Under the status that the pre-heating has been finished, press and hold the ” single-cup or double-cup coffee button ” for three seconds to make the coffee maker beep three times; when the coffee in the cup reaches the required set amount, press the ” Single-cup or double-cup coffee button” to make the coffee maker beep three times; at this time, the time memory function is set. Coffee discharging time is set between 8-60 seconds; otherwise the setting is failed. The next coffee discharging time will follow the last set value.

Reset to Factory Setting

Under the status that the pre-heating has been finished, press and hold the ” Single-cup double-cup coffee button” for three seconds to make the coffee maker beep three times; 5 button lights flash 5 times, then the reset to factory setting is finished.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  1. Cut off the power until the coffee maker completely cools down before cleaning.

  2. Wipe exterior of the coffee maker and accessories with a damp cloth or a clean sponge.
    Note: Do not clean it with alcohol or solvent cleaner; do not immerse the coffee maker into water upon cleaning.

  3. Unscrew the coffee funnel, and then clean the coffee grounds inside the strainer.

Clean Mineral Precipitation

  1. In order to ensure the function of the coffee machine, clean water and pure taste of the coffee, the coffee machine needs to be descaled after 2-3 months of use.
  2. Add water to the water tank up to Max level, and add the descaler to the water tank according to the dosage requirements; if there is no descaler, citric acid can be used instead ( the ratio to water is 3:100 ).
  3. Put the Funnel assembly into the coffee machine ( without coffee powder ), press the ” On / Off button “, press the coffee button until the water output is 200mL after the coffee function indicator is always on, and then leave the descaler inside the machine for 10 minutes.
  4. After the coffee function indicator is always on, turn on the Steam knob, press the coffee button to put 200mL of hot water, and then close the knob and coffee button.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 ( do not wait for 10 minutes in step 3 ) until the water in the tank is used up.
  6. Use tap water to make coffee ( without coffee powder ), repeat steps 3 and 4 more than three times ( do not wait for 10 minutes for step 3 ) until the coffee machine pipeline is completely cleaned.

In noteck warranty, subject to conditions stated below, that from the date of purchase, this product will be free from mechanical defects for a period of ONE(1)year. Innoteck, at its option and with an accompanying receipt, will repair or replace this product found to be defective during the warranty period. Should this product become defective by reason of improper workmanship or material defect during the warranty period of one year from the date of purchase listed on the receipt. If product is no longer available we will replace it with a product of equal value. Transportation charges of parts, or products in whole, submitted for repair or replacement, under this warranty must be borne by the purchaser. This product is void if the product is used for other than single-family household use or subjected to any voltage and wave form other than as specified on the product rating label (eg, 220V – 50Hz)

This warranty is available to consumers only. You are a consumer if you own a Innotek that was purchased at retail for personal, family or household use. Except as otherwise under applicable law, this warranty is not available to retailers or other commercial purchasers or owners.

Conditions: This warranty is valid for the original UK retail purchaser from the date of the initial purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty service or replacement. Service centres or retail stores do not have the right to alter, modify or in any way, change the terms and conditions of this warranty. Warranty registration is not necessary to obtain warranty on Innoteck products. Please save your proof of purchase.

About your Warranty: Most warranty repairs are handled routinely, but sometimes requests for warranty service may not be appropriate. For example, warranty service would NOT apply if the product damage occurred because of misuse, lack of routine maintenance, shipping, handling, 3rd party warehousing or improper installation. Similarly, the warranty is void if the manufacturing date or the serial number on the product has been removed or the equipment has been altered or modified. During the warranty period, the authorised service dealer, at its option, will repair or replace any part that, upon examination, is found to be defective under normal use and service.

Normal Wear: This warranty does not cover normal wear of any parts or damage resulting from any of the following negligent use or misuse of this product: improper voltage or current; use contrary to the operation instructions; deviation from the instructions regarding storage and transportation; repair or alteration by anyone other than Innotek or an authorised service centre. Further the warranty does not cover Acts of God, such as fire, flood, hurricanes or tornadoes. Innotek shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any express or implied warranty. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for the particular purpose is limited in duration to the to the duration of the above warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights as stated in the UK Consumer rights laws that may vary slightly.
