Do not put anything on top of the appliance
Do not put anything on the air-inlet on the two sides of the appliance, this will disrupt the airflow and affects the hot air frying result
Using the appliance
The air fryer can cook a large range of ingredients. Pls refer to the section
“settings” table hereinafter.
Hot air frying
-
Put the mains plug into an earthed wall socket.
-
Carefully pull the basket out of the air fryer.
-
Put the ingredients in the basket.
Note: Never fill the basket in full or exceed the recommended amount (see section ‘Settings’ in this chapter), as it will affect the quality of the cooking. -
Place the basket back into the air fryer properly.
If the basket doesn’t be fixed into the air fryer properly, the appliance won’t work!
Caution: Do not touch the basket during or immediately after use, as it gets very hot. Only hold the basket by the handle. -
Turn the temperature control knob to the required temperature. See section’ Settings’ in this chapter to determine the right temperature
-
Determine the required cooking time for the ingredient (see section ‘Settings’ in this chapter).
-
To switch on the appliance, turn the timer knob to the required cooking time
Add 3 minutes to the cooking time when the appliance is cold.
Note: You may also let the appliance preheat without any ingredients inside. In such case, set the timer knob to 3 minutes or more and wait until the heating-up light turn on (after approx. 3 minutes). Then fill the basket and set the timer knob to the required preparation time.
a. The power-on light and the heating-up light go on.
b. The timer starts counting down the cooking time set.
d. During the air frying process, the heating-up light turns on and off from time to time. This indicates that the heating element is switched on and off to maintain the set temperature.
e. Excess oil from the ingredients is collected on the bottom of the basket. -
Some ingredients require shaking halfway through the preparation time (see section ’Settings’ in this chapter).
To shake the ingredients, pull the basket out of the appliance by the handle and shake it. Then place the basket into the appliance and continue to cook.
Tip: If you set the timer to half the cooking time, you will hear the timer bell when you have to shake the ingredients. However, this means that you have to set the timer again to the remaining cooking time after shaking.
Tip: If you set the timer to full preparation time, there is no timer bell before the cooking program is finished. You may pull out the basket at any time to check the ingredients cooking condition, the power will shut down automatically and resume after place the basket back into the appliance (Note: Timer will counts down in this situation continuously). -
When you hear the timer bell, the cooking time has elapsed. Pull the basket out of the appliance and place it on a heat-resistant surface.
Note: You can also switch off the appliance manually. To do this, turn the temperature control knob to 0, or pull out the basket directly. -
Check if the ingredients are ready.
If the ingredients are not well done, simply place the basket into the appliance again and set the timer for few minutes more. -
Do not turn the basket upside down, there may have excess oil that has collected on the bottom of the basket.
After air frying, the basket and the food are very hot. Do not touch by hand at this moment. Depending on the type of the ingredients in the air fryer, steam may escape from the basket. -
Empty the basket into a bowl or onto a plate.
Tip: To remove large or fragile ingredients, use a pair of tongs to lift the food out of the basket -
When a batch of ingredients is ready, the air fryer is instantly ready for preparing another batch.
Settings
The table below helps you to select the basic settings for the ingredients you
want to cook.
Note: Keep in mind these settings are indications only. As ingredients differ
in origin, size, shape as well as brand, we cannot guarantee the best setting
for your ingredients.
Because the rapid hot air technology instantly reheats the air inside the
appliance, pulling the basket slightly out of the appliance during hot air
frying may interrupt the process.
Tips
- Small ingredients, like fries, usually require a slightly shorter cooking time than large ingredients.
- A large amount of ingredients only requires a slightly longer preparation time and vise versa
- Shaking small ingredients halfway through the cooking process will optimize the end result and can help prevent unevenly fried ingredients.
- Mix some oil to fresh potatoes for a crispy result. Fry your ingredients in the air fryer promptly after the oil is mixed
- Do not cook extremely greasy ingredients such as sausages in the air fryer.
- Snacks can also be cooked in the air fryer such as chicken nuggets
- The optimal amount for cookig crispy fries is 500 grams.
- Use pre-made dough to prepare filled snacks quickly and easily. Pre-made dough also requires a shorter cooking time than home-made dough.
- Place a baking tin or oven dish in the air fryer basket if you want to bake a cake or quiche or if you want to fry fragile ingredients or filled ingredients.
- You can also use the air fryer to reheat ingredients. Please set the temperature to 150℃ for up to 10 minutes.
