SETUP AND OPERATION
Notes on setup and operation
- Choose a safe location and avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near a heat source.
- Avoid environments subject to vibration, excessive dust, cold or humidity.
- Do not open the housing as there is a risk of electric shock. If a foreign object accidentally gets inside the unit, contact your dealer.
- Do not attempt to clean the unit with chemical solvents as this may damage the surface. A clean, dry cloth is recommended for cleaning.
- Keep these instructions for future reference.
First steps
- Connect the main unit and the speakers with the RCA cable.
- Plug the DC plug of the mains adapter into the DC IN connection on the back of the unit.
- Insert the plug of the power supply unit into the mains socket.
Phono mode
-
Set the function knob to PH mode. Turn the power switch on. The display will now flash red.
-
Place a record on the turntable and select the desired speed (33/45/78) according to the requirements of the particular record.
NOTE: If you want to play a 45 RPM record, use the supplied 45 RPM adapter. -
Remove the needle guard. Unlock the tone arm holder to release the tone arm. Push the cueing lever backwards to raise the tone arm and carefully move the tone arm to the desired position above the record.
The turntable starts to rotate when the tone arm is moved towards the record. Push the cueing lever forward to slowly lower the tone arm to the desired position on the record and play the record.
NOTE: The record will only start to spin if the tone arm is moved towards the record when the automatic shut-off is on. -
If the auto-stop control switch is set to “ON”, the record will stop automatically when it finishes playing. If the auto-stop control switch is set to “OFF”, the record will not stop automatically when it finishes playing.
NOTE: The auto-stop function applies to most 33 RPM records. However, in very few cases the record stops before it has finished playing, or it does not stop when it has finished playing, even though the auto-stop function is switched on. -
Turn the volume knob to adjust the volume.
BT mode
-
Set the function knob to BT mode. The display turns blue and flashes.
-
Switch on the BT function on your mobile phone or tablet and then search for the record player with the name “TT-Play” in the device list.
After pairing and connecting, the BT indicator lights up blue without flashing and you can play your music from your mobile phone or tablet on the turntable. -
Turn the volume knob to adjust the volume.
NOTE: The volume of the mobile phone or tablet also affects the overall volume. Adjust volume here as well to get a satisfactory sound.
