Product Usage Instructions
Facility
- Ensure the vehicle is turned off and the key is removed from the ignition.
- Locate the current fuel pump driver module in your vehicle.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the old module.
- Remove the old module carefully.
- Install the new 590-001 Fuel Pump Driver Module in the same location.
- Reconnect the electrical connectors securely.
- Turn on the vehicle to test the new module.

The vehicle side harness that connects to the OEM fuel pump driver is fitted with a Terminal Position Assurance (TPA) lock, which is a white clip. The TPA lock may be incompatible with
Dorman fuel pump drivers. Remove the TPA lock if necessary. -
Your vehicle may have an Inertia Fuel Shutoff (IFS) switch. This switch can mimic the failure of a fuel pump module if it has been triggered. Ensure this switch has not been triggered before installing a new module. See your vehicle’s factory service manual for the exact location of this switch on your vehicle.
