Product Usage Instructions

Passlock Relearn Without Tool:

  1. STEP 1: Turn the key to the ON position with the engine off.
  2. STEP 2: Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON. The vehicle will not start.
  3. STEP 3: Observe the SECURITY light. After approximately 10 minutes, the light will turn OFF.
  4. STEP 4: Turn OFF the ignition and wait five seconds.
  5. STEP 5: Repeat Steps 1 to 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes. The vehicle will automatically learn the Passlock Sensor Data Code the next time the ignition switch is turned from OFF to ON.
  6. STEP 6: Turn the vehicle off and then verify the vehicle is able to start.
  7. STEP 7: DTCs will clear themselves after 100 ignition cycles.

Product Overview

After installation is complete, the Passlock sensor must be reprogrammed.

There are two methods to perform the programming procedure:

  • A 10-minute procedure which requires a Tech2 tool or scanner and a Techline terminal, which will guide you through the procedure.
  • A 30-minute procedure which does not require the use of any tools.

Installation Instruction

IMPORTANT: Do not remove the key from the ignition during this procedure. If the key is removed, the procedure will have to be performed from the beginning.
