Passlock Relearn Without a Tool
Important Note: Do not remove the key from the ignition during this procedure. If the key is removed, the procedure will have to be performed from the beginning.
- Step 1: Turn the key to the ON position with the engine off.
- Step 2: Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON. The vehicle will not start.
- Step 3: Observe the SECURITY light. After approximately 10 minutes, the light will turn OFF.
- Step 4: Turn OFF the ignition and wait five seconds.
- Step 5: Repeat Steps 1 to 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes. The vehicle will automatically learn the Passlock Sensor Data Code the next time the ignition switch is turned from OFF to ON.
- Step 6: Turn the vehicle off and then verify the vehicle is able to start.
- Step 7: Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) will clear themselves after 100 ignition cycles.

Product Overview
After installation is complete, the Passlock sensor must be reprogrammed. There are two methods to perform the programming procedure:
- A 10 minute procedure which requires a Tech2 and a Techline terminal, which will guide you through the procedure.
- A 30 minute procedure which does not require the use of any tools.
