Product Usage Instructions

Installation:

  1. If installing for the first time:
  2. Connect the module to the vehicle’s electrical system.
  3. Follow the steps below for initial calibration.
  4. If recalibration is necessary (e.g., after replacing an actuator):
  5. Press and hold the AC and heated mirror/defrost buttons simultaneously until both LEDs illuminate (at least 15 seconds).
  6. Release both buttons; the heated mirror/defrost button LED will start flashing.
  7. Wait for the LED to stop flashing (about 1 minute) to complete recalibration.

If you are installing on the vehicle for the first time:

  • STEP 1 : With the vehicle turned off:
    • Set fan speed to the “off” position (turn knob counter clockwise until it stops).
    • Set temperature to the full cold position (turn knob counter clockwise until it stops).
    • Set mode to “floor and panel with recirculation” position (turn knob counter clockwise until it stops).
  • STEP 2: Install module and start the vehicle.
  • STEP 3 : The heated mirror/defrost button LED will begin flashing.
  • STEP 4 : When the heated mirror/defrost button LED stops flashing, this indicates the recalibration procedure has been completed successfully.
  • NOTE : Allow up to 1 minute for recalibration.

If it is necessary to recalibrate the unit (ex. an actuator has been replaced):

  • STEP 1 : With the vehicle turned off:

    • Set fan speed to the “off” position (turn knob counter clockwise until it stops).

    • Set temperature to the full cold position (turn knob counter clockwise until it stops).

    • Set mode to “floor and panel with recirculation” position (turn knob counter clockwise until it stops).

  • STEP 2: Turn ignition to the “on” position.

  • NOTE : DO NOT START VEHICLE!!!

  • STEP 3 : Press and hold the “AC” and “heated mirror/defrost” buttons until both LEDs illuminate.

  • NOTE : Hold both buttons for at least 15 seconds.

  • STEP 4 : Once both LEDs have illuminated, release both buttons and the heated mirror/defrost button will begin flashing.

  • STEP 5 : When the heated mirror/defrost button LED stops flashing, this indicates the recalibration procedure has been completed successfully.

  • NOTE : Allow up to 1 minute for recalibration.

  • STEP 6 : The vehicle can now be started and the module is ready to be used.
