Product Usage Instructions

1. Confirm that all the hardware listed in the kit is present before starting the installation. Do not proceed if any part is missing.
2. Warning: Do not drive the vehicle until the installation is complete and checked.
3. Lift the rear of the vehicle off the ground using a properly rated floor jack until the rear tyres are 6-8 inches off the ground.
4. Remove the rear shock absorber from the LH side of the rear axle, keeping the factory hardware for reassembly.
5. Place shock extension over LH shock mount and insert spacer tube into the factory shock mount, aligning holes.
6. Insert M14 bolts with washers through the shock extension, factory shock mount, and spacer tube, and secure with lock nuts. Torque to 100 ft-lbs.
7. Re-mount the bottom of the shock into the new shock extension and torque to 70 ft-lbs.
8. Repeat steps 4-7 for the RH side of the axle. Note that the shock extension will face towards the front of the vehicle.
9. Check and ensure all hardware is mounted at the correct torque settings, recheck work, re-tighten bolts, and have a trained technician perform an alignment.

Kit Contents

INSTALLATION

1. Using a properly rated floor jack, lift the rear of the vehicle off the ground. Lift the vehicle so that the rear tyres are approximately 6-8 inches off the ground surface.
2. Working from the LH side of rear axle, remove the rear shock absorber from the vehicle. Keep the factory hardware for use during reassembly.
3. Place shock extension over LH shock mount, facing towards rear of the vehicle as shown. Insert the spacer tube into the factory shock mount. Aligning the bore of the spacer tube with holes in the shock mount and shock extension.
4. Insert the M14 bolts with washers from the outside, through the hole in the shock extension, factory shock mount, and spacer tube, and out the other side. Secure the bolts with a washer and a nylon insert lock nuts. Tighten and torque them to 100 ft-lbs.
5. Re-mount the bottom of the shock into the new shock extension. Tighten and torque them to 70 ft-lbs.
6. Repeat Steps 2 through 5 for RH side of the axle. Note that the shock extension will face towards the front of the vehicle due to the staggered shock mount design.

In the end, check all hardware is mounted at the correct torque settings. Recheck all work. Re-tighten Shock Extension mounting bolts. Test drive, then have a trained technician perform an alignment.
