Front Installation Instructions:

  1. 1. Raise the vehicle and remove the wheels following safety procedures.
  2. Remove both skid plates using a 15mm socket/wrench.
  3. Disconnect ABS wire and brake line from the knuckle using a 10mm socket/wrench.

Rear Installation Instructions:

  1. 1. Raise the vehicle and remove the wheels following safety procedures.
  2. Remove the clip holding the inner fender using a screwdriver.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q: What should I do after driving 100-200 miles with the lift kit installed?
A: Re-torque all lug nuts on the spacer to ensure everything is securely in place.

Re-torque all lug nuts on the spacer after 100-200 miles of driving.

FRONT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Raise the vehicle and remove the wheels. Always ensure proper safety procedure is followed when working underneath your car, including the use of jack stands or other equipment.

  2. Remove the both skid plates using a 15mm socket/wrench , they’re not going to interfere with us doing work on the lower control arm.

  3. Disconnect the driver’s and passenger’s side front sway bar links from the lower control arm.
    (NOTE: Do not use power tools to remove the stabilizer bar link nut to the lower control arm. Damage to the stabilizer bar link ball joint or boot may occur) KSP-9K526-2-Bronco-Lift-Kits- \(3\)

  4.  Remove the ABS wire and brake line from the knuckle using a 10mm socket/wrench. KSP-9K526-2-Bronco-Lift-Kits- \(4\)

  5. Remove the tie rod end using a 21mm socket/wrench. Strike the knuckle with a hammer if needed to remove the tie rod end. KSP-9K526-2-Bronco-Lift-Kits- \(5\)

  6.  Remove upper ball joint just using an 18mm socket/wrench. Strike knuckle with a hammer if needed. KSP-9K526-2-Bronco-Lift-Kits- \(6\)

  7. Remove the axle nut using a 36mm socket/wrench,Use an air hammer to dislodge the CV shaft from the hub

  8. Remove the lower strut mount nuts at the lower control arm.

  9. Remove the upper strut nuts using a 15mm socket/wrench.

  10. Remove the strut from the vehicle.(Note:Be sure to support the lower control arm / knuckle assembly when removing the strut.)

  11. Install the top strut spacer onto the strut assembly using the factory nuts.
    NOTE: Uses the hole B locates the factory pin KSP-9K526-2-Bronco-Lift-Kits-
\(11\)

  12.  Using the supplied M10 bolts, M10 flat gasket and M10 spring gaskets, install the completed strut assembly into the frame. Do not tighten the bolts at this time. KSP-9K526-2-Bronco-Lift-Kits- \(12\)

  13. Raise the lower control arm up and guide the lower strut studs into place. Continue to raise the lower control arm up until you are able to install the factory mounting hardware.

  14. Tighten the top strut bolts. Torque the M10 bolt to 35 ft-lbs.

  15.  With the strut installed, reconnect the knuckle to the upper ball joint.
    While connecting the upper ball joint, be sure that the CV shaft properly aligns into the hub Torque the upper ball joint nut to 46 ft-lbs.

  16. Be sure the CV is properly seated in the hub and replace with a factory CV axle nut.
    Torque the CV axle nut to 221 ft-lbs.

  17. Reconnect the brake line bracket and ABS line to the steering knuckle and frame with the factory bolts. Torque hardware to 159 ft-lbs.

  18.  Attach the steering tie rod end to the steering knuckle and replace with factory nut. Torque to 46 ft-lbs.

  19. Repeat steps 4-18 on the opposite side of the vehicle.

  20.  With both sides complete, reconnect the sway bar links to the lower control arm and replace with factory hardware.

  21. Reattach the both skid plates.

  22.  Reattach the wheel.

REAR INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Raise the vehicle and remove the wheels. Always ensure proper safety procedure is followed when working underneath your car, including the use of jack stands or other equipment.

  2. Remove the clip holding the inner fender using a screw driver.

  3.  Remove the ABS/emergency wiring harness from the differential using an 8 mm socket/wrench.

  4. Remove the track bar using a 24mm socket/wrench.

  5.  Support the axle and remove the lower strut bolt using a 1-1/16” socket/wrench.

  6. Remove the upper strut nuts using a 15mm wrench and remove strut from vehicle.

  7. Install the top strut spacer onto the strut assembly using the factory nuts.
    NOTE: 9K526-2 use the B location hole.

  8. Using the supplied M10 bolts, M10 flat gasket and M10 spring gaskets, install the completed strut assembly into the frame. Do not tighten the bolts at this time.

  9. Attach the strut to the axle using an factory lower strut mount bolt and nut.

  10. Tighten the top strut bolts. Torque the M10 bolt to 35 ft-lbs.

  11. Reattach the track bar.

  12. Reattach the ABS/emergency wiring harness to the differential using.

  13. Reinstall the rear inner fender liners using the clips and screws previously removed. Torque any hardware for the inner fender liner to 18 ft-lbs.

  14. Repeat steps 2-13 on the opposite side of the vehicle.

  15. Reattach the wheel.

In the end, check all hardware is mounted at correct torque settings. Recheck all work. Re-tighten Control Arm mounting bolts. Test drive, then have a trained technician perform an alignment.
