Mounting and Wiring Your Fixture
WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Disconnect
power at the fuse or circuit breaker before installing or
servicing.
- Line up the holes on the mounting bracket with the holes on your junction box. Attach the mounting bracket to your junction box using the appropriate screws based on the hole size.
- Thread fixture wires through the cover plate gasket.
- Hang one end of the support hook onto the mounting bracket and hang the light fixture on the other end of the support hook.
- Connect house ground wire and fixture ground wire using quick-connect wiring connectors. Connect fixture black wire to house black wire and fixture white wire to house white wire using quick-connect wiring connectors.
- Attach the fixture to the mounting bracket using the provided screws pre-attached to the canopy. Ensure no loose wires remain sticking out from underneath the cover plate. Insert the decorative screw cover caps into the screw holes on the cover plate for a finished look.
Adjusting the Color Temperature (CCT)
To adjust the color temperature of the light fixture, follow the instructions provided in the product manual. The color temperature adjustment feature allows you to customize the lighting to suit your preferences.
Best Practices for Installation
- Install the motion sensor and light fixture at a height above the ground for optimal sensitivity.
- Avoid false triggering by ensuring the detection zone does not include objects such as windows, white walls, water, trees, large shrubs, or street traffic.
- If using multiple fixtures, consider operating them on separate wall switches to control each independently.
- Q: What should I do if I encounter interference with the motion detector and light fixture?
- A: If you experience interference, try reorienting or relocating the receiving antenna, increasing separation between equipment and receiver, connecting to a different circuit, or seeking assistance from a professional technician.
- Q: Can I make unauthorized modifications to the equipment?
- A: No, unauthorized changes or modifications to the equipment could void your authorization to operate it as per FCC regulations.
- Q: How should I adjust the motion sensor sensitivity?
- A: The motion sensor is less sensitive above 12 feet. Adjust the installation height accordingly to achieve optimal performance.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
FOR BEST RESULTS
- Install the motion sensor 8-12 feet above the ground. (Motion sensor is less sensitive above 12 feet.)
- Locate the motion sensor so motion moves across the detection zone (Fig. 1).
- Locate the sensor away from heat-producing sources to prevent false triggering. Also be very careful not to include objects such as windows, white walls and water in the detection zone.
- Locate the sensor away from moving objects such as trees, large shrubs and street traffic.
- Do not install more than one motion-activated floodlight on one wall switch.
ADJUSTING THE COLOR TEMPERATURE (CCT)
- This product features selectable white color tuning. Choose between three preset light colors on the center dial of the base housing before, during or after installation (fig. 2):
- These settings are designated by the abbreviations located on the center dial on the base housing (fig. 2):
- 3K = 3000K CCT, or soft white
- 4K = 4000K CCT, or neutral white [factory default]
- 5K = 5000K CCT, or daylight
- Use a flathead or Phillips head screwdriver to rotate the dial so the arrow points toward the desired setting.
- DO NOT USE a power tool or over-rotate the dial.
- WARNING : Risk of electric shock. Disconnect power at fuse or circuit breaker before installing or servicing
- NOTE: The fixture can be wall or eave-mounted (Fig. 3).
- NOTE : Coverplate mounts to recessed mounted standard junction boxes (Fig. 4). Junction box must be at least 1-1/2 inch in depth for proper installation for recessed mount application. For surface mount junction box installation, refer to the installation instructions included with the adapter plate kit (E).
- Line up the holes on the mounting bracket (B) with the holes on your junction box. Using either (2) #6 screws or (2) #8 screws (D) (depending on the size of the holes in your junction box), attach the mounting bracket (B) to your junction box (Fig. 5).
- Thread fixture wires through coverplate gasket (C) (Fig. 8).
- Hang one end of the support hook onto the mounting bracket and hang the light fixture on the other end of the support hook (Fig. 6).
- Connect house ground wire and fixture ground wire by firmly pushing into quick connect wiring connector. Connect fixture black wire to house black wire and fixture white wire to house white wire by firmly pushing into quick-connect wiring connectors (Fig. 8)
- Attach fixture (A) to the mounting bracket (B) using (2) #8 x 1-1/4 in. screws (F) pre-attached to the canopy. Be sure no loose wires remain sticking out from underneath the coverplate. Insert the decorative screw cover caps (G) into the screw holes on the cover plate for a finished appearance (Fig. 7).
- Adjust light fixture to the desired position by loosening the thumbscrew on the upper arm. Move the head to aim and retighten the thumbscrew and jam nut.
- Apply silicone caulk around the edges of the coverplate to provide a watertight seal from rain and moisture.
- Turn on the power at the main fuse/breaker box.
OPERATING YOUR FIXTURE
- Rotate the duration knob on the bottom of the sensor to “TEST” (Fig. 9).
- Turn the arrow on the sensitivity knob to a middle point between “+” and “-.”
- Turn on the power to the fixture. Allow fixture to warm up approximately 40 seconds before testing. (Lights may not come on during the warm-up period.)
- Aim the sensor head toward the desired detection area, maintaining a 5°–15° down angle.
- Walk across the detection zone at the farthest distance you wish your motion sensor to detect motion.
- Adjust the sensor head angle until you get the desired results. Lights will turn off 4 seconds after all motion stops.
- NOTE : For maximum range performance, allow the fixture to operate in any mode (with power to the unit) for at least 48 hours.
- To set the ON time, rotate the duration knob arrow to point to the desired time setting within the range (up to 12 minutes) (Fig.9).
