- Your new differential cover adds some plugs. The two fill plugs indicated may provide a more convenient point than the factory fill plug, which is located on the axle housing near a casting rib. If you choose to use one of the new fill plugs, use the existing filler port on the axle as a level plug. The higher fill plug can also be used as the level point for a lifted truck.
- The drain plug permits fluid to be exchanged without the purchase of a gasket or removal of the differential cover.
