Intended use
The Nedis WIFICOL20BK is an IP security camera with a viewing angle of 120 degrees. If the security camera detects movement, you will receive a warning message on your phone. With the app you can watch live video images, and playback, but also listen in and talk back. Consult the local laws and regulations for this product before installing and using it. Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty, and proper functioning.

Safety instructions
WARNING
- Ensure you have fully read and understood the instructions in this document before you install or use the product. Keep the packaging and this document for future reference.
- Only use the product as described in this document.
- Do not use the product if a part is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective product immediately.
- Do not drop the product and avoid bumping.
- This product may only be serviced by a qualified technician for maintenance to reduce the risk of electric shock.
- Unplug the product from the power source and other equipment if problems occur.
- Consult the local laws and regulations for this product before installing and using it.
Mounting the bracket (image C + D)
Ensure that the power group that you want to connect the product to is switched off.
- Keep the product in a dust-free area when drilling.
- If there is no power cable available in the desired location, drill a hole for a power cable in the desired location.
- Pull a power cable through the drilled hole.
- Pull the power cable through the wire hole A8.
- Place the bracket A9 in the desired location. Follow steps 5-7 for stone/concrete surfaces. Continue to step 8 for wood surfaces.
- Use the bracket A9 to mark the drill locations with a pencil.
- Drill two holes based on the size of the plugs Ar.
- Insert the plugs Ar into the holes. Do not overtighten the screws, this will deform the bracket.
- Fasten the bracket in the desired location with the bracket mounting screws A5.
- Strip the power cable to expose the wires.
- Attach the wires to the terminal block A7.
Mounting the product (image E)
- Align the camera A2 with the bracket A9
- Fasten the camera A2 to the bracket A9 with the camera mounting screws A6.
Preparing the product
Use an SD card with a minimum of 8 GB and a maximum of 128 GB.
- Insert the new SD card into the SD card slot A11.
- Turn the power group that the product is connected to on.The product switches on automatically.
Installing the Nedis SmartLife app
- Download the Nedis Smartlife app for Android or iOS on your phone via Google Play or the Apple App Store.
- Open the Nedis Smartlife app on your phone.
- Create an account with your e-mail address and tap Continue.
- Enter the received verification code.
- Create a password and tap Done.
- Tap Add Home to create a SmartLife Home.
- Set your location, choose the rooms you want to connect with and tap Done.
Connecting the product
- Open the Nedis Smartlife app on your phone.
- Tap + in the Nedis SmartLife app.
- Select the device type you want to add from the list.
- Confirm the status indicator LED A4 is blinking.
- Enter the Wi-Fi network data and tap Confirm.
- Tap Continue and a QR-code will appear.
- Hold your phone with a 15 – 20 cm distance in front of the camera.
- If the camera has detected the QR code, you will hear a sound.
- Tap to confirm you heard the sound.
- Give the camera a name and tap Done. The status indicator LED A4 will turn blue.
The product is now ready for use.
Important instructions to reduce false alarms
- Do not place the camera facing the sun or any objects with bright lights.
- The ideal viewing distance is 2 – 10 meters.
- Stay away from air outlets, including air conditioner and heat transfer vents, etc.
- Do not place the camera facing a mirror or highly reflective object.
- Keep the camera at least 1 meter away from any wireless devices, including Wi-Fi routers and phones, to avoid wireless interference.
The start screen of the Nedis SmartLife app
After making a successful connection with the security camera, the Nedis
SmartLife app displays an overview of the products that are connected. Select
the desired product in the overview.
Make video recordings and screenshots
You can make video recordings and screenshots on your phone, by tapping Record
B4 and Screenshot B1.
Video playback
Photo and video recordings are stored on your phone’s memory.
- Open the Gallery on Android, or Photos on iOS. You will see an overview of photo and video recordings.
- Open a photo or video recording to view or play it back.
Motion-detected video playback
Motion-detected videos are automatically saved on the SD card. (If inserted in
the camera.)
- Tap Playback B2 to open the stored videos.
- Tap a video file to play it back.
Adjusting the motion-detecting distance
Tap PIR B3 to enable, disable or change the Motion Detection sensitivity.
- Use the slider to set the Motion Detection sensitivity between 0-10 m.
- The Motion Detection sensitivity is an indication and can be affected by external factors such as light.
Night Mode
Tap Night Mode B5 to change the night mode settings.
Light
Tap Light B6 to change the light settings.
Disposal
The product is designated for separate collection at an appropriate
collection point. Do not dispose of the product with household waste. For more
information, contact the retailer or the local authority responsible for the
waste management.
