Product Usage Instructions

  • Connecting to Computer and Binding Receiver:
    • Connect Mobula8 1-2S Frsky to the computer via USB.
    • Run Betaflight configurator and navigate to the Receiver tab, then press Bind Receiver.
    • The solid red LED on the flight controller indicates the SPI Frsky receiver is in bind mode.
  • Arming and Disarming:
    • The default ARM/DISARM switch is set to AUX1 (Channel 5 of your radio).
    • You can customize a switch for AUX1. Toggle the AUX1 switch to arm the motors.
    • The green LED at the bottom of the flight controller will become solid once armed.
  • Checking Radio Settings:
    • Ensure the MIXES of your radio settings match the Channel Map of Betaflight settings to enable arming.
    • The default channel map is TAER1234, but you can change it to AETR1234 if needed.
  • Binding Receiver and Configurations:
    • The default SPI Receiver provider is set to Frsky_D. Bind with your Frsky D8 radio transmitter or other radios with the Frsky D8 TX module.
    • Change the receiver provider to FRSKY_X for D16 radio or other compatible options.
  • Powering On and Flying:
    • Turn on your radio transmitter and connect the battery to the Mobula8 1-2S Frsky drone.
    • Place the drone horizontally on the ground.
    • Prepare your goggles and match the channel with the VTX table for a smooth flying experience.

BIN PROCEDURE

  1. Connect Mobula8 1-2S Frsky with the computer by Plug USB. Run Betaflight configurator and then move to the Receiver tab then hit “Bind Receiver”.   2. The default SPI Receiver provider is set to Frsky_D, which means you need to bind with your Frsky D8 radio transmitter or other radio with the Frsky D8 tx module. Turn on your radio and move to model setup, then hit BND. The bottom RED LED of the flight controller would start to blink, which it means binds successfully. Change Receiver provider to “FRSKY_X” for D16 radio, and Change to “REDPINE” or “SFHSS” to match REDPINE TX module or Futaba Radio.Happymodel-8-1-2S-85mm-Micro-FPV-Whoop-Drone-FIG-1 \(2\)

ARM/DISARM THE MOTOR

  1. Turn on your radio transmitter and connect the battery to the Mobula8 1-2S Frsky. Then place Mobula8 1-2S Frsky horizontally on the ground.

There are 2 ways to switch the vtx channels:

  1. Plug USB to Mobula8 1-2S Frsky then we should Go to Betaflight CLI and type the command
    • Set vtx_band=5
    • Set vix_channel=4
    • save
    • This command will change the vtx channel to 5769
  2. Disarm the Mobula8 1-2S Frsky and then move the stick of the transmitter THR MID YAW LEFT PITCH UP to enter the OSD Menu Enter Features then enter VTX SA to set VTX Band and channel

FLIGHT CONTROLLER FIRMWARE UPDATE

  1. Install the latest STM32 Virtual COM Port Driver http://www.st.com/web/en/catalog/tools/PF257938.
  2. Install STM BOOTLOAD Driver (STM Device in DFU MODE)
  3. Open the Betaflight configurator and choose firmware target “CRAZYBEEF4FR”, then select the firmware version.
  4. There are 2 ways to get in FU Mode:
  5. solder the boot pad and then plug USB into computer
  6. loading beta flight firmware and hitting “flash”, then it will get into DFU Mode automatically.
  7. Open Zadig tools to replace the drivers from STM32 Bootloader to WINUSB Driver.
