Product Information

The Happymodel Mobula8 1-2S 85mm Micro FPV whoop drone is a powerful and smooth drone that is compatible with 1S-2S Lipo/LIHV batteries. It comes with a built-in 2.4G ELRS V2.0 and OPENVTX VTX that can power up to 400mw ELRS V2.0. The drone is powered by EX1 103 KV11000 brushless motors and comes with Gemfan Hurricane 2023 tri-blade propellers. It also features a Caddx ANT 1200TVL camera and an onboard 5.8G Openvtx 0mw~400mw VTX. The drone weighs 43g and has a wheelbase of 85mm.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. To bind the onboard SPI ELRS receiver, connect the Mobula8 1-2S ELRS to a computer via USB and run Betaflight configurator. Then, move to the Receiver tab and hit Bind Receiver. The green LED on the flight controller will start blinking fast, indicating that the receiver is in bind mode.
  2. To arm the motors, toggle the AUX1 switch (usually Channel5 of your radio) to which the default ARM/DISARM switch is set. The red LED at the bottom of the flight controller will get solid once armed.
  3. Make sure that the mixes of your radio settings match the Channel Map of Betaflight settings, otherwise, the drone won’t be able to arm. The default channel map is TAER1234, but you can also set it to AETR1234 if necessary.
  4. To bind the drone to your radio transmitter, turn on your transmitter and run ELRS.LUA v2 version. Scroll down the menu and hit [Bind]. The green LED on the flight controller will get solid first and then start blinking slowly, indicating that the binding was successful. Re-connect the USB to establish a link.
  5. To fly the drone, turn on your transmitter and connect the battery to the Mobula8 1-2S ELRS. Place the drone horizontally on the ground. Prepare your goggles and match the channel with the VTX_table.

Note: RX1/TX1/+5V/GND pads could be used for External Serial Based RX like TBS Tracer or CRSF Nano. Only enabled serial RX for UART1 when using external Serial Based RX and choose the correct receiver provider based on your receiver description.
