Product Usage Instructions

Installation

Method 1: Bracket Installation

  1. Secure the anti-loosening nut on the bracket.
  2. Rotate the bracket into the back of the bike alarm and secure it with a screw.
  3. Place silicone pads on the bracket and tighten the screw on the selected tube.

Method 2: Zip Tie Installation

  1. Rotate the base into the bottom of the bike alarm.
  2. Insert and tighten the screw into the base.
  3. Secure the base and bike alarm to your bike with a zip tie.

Operation

  • Arm: Press the Arm button on the remote to arm the alarm.
  • Disarm: Press the Disarm button on the remote to disarm the alarm.
  • Bike Location Alarm: Press the Alarm button on the remote to sound the alarm and locate your bike.

Settings

  1. Adjust sensitivity levels with the Arm button.
  2. Select alarm sound with the Brake light/ Mode button.
  3. Adjust volume levels by pressing the Alarm button continuously.

Indicator
Pair a Remote to the Bike Alarm: Press and hold the Pair button on the bike alarm to pair more remotes.

  • Q: How do I change the alarm sensitivity level?

INSTALLATION

Note:
Fully charge the bike alarm prior to installation.

Installation Method 1: Bracket installation
Bracket installation is suitable for bikes, electric bikes, and tricycles. The bracket can be secured to the seat tube, head tube, rear backrest, or any other tube.

  1. Secure the anti-loosening nut according to the diagram below. The round head of the nut with the rubber ring should be facing outward and the hexagonal side should be aligned with the groove.   2. Rotate the bracket into the back of the bike alarm until it locks. Then secure it in place using the screw.kogan-KABKALAMLTA-Anti-Theft-Bike-Alarm-fig- \(7\)
  3. Place the 2 silicone pads on the bracket. Align the contours on the silicone pads with the grooves on the inside of the brackets. Place the bracket with silicone pads on the selected tube and tighten the screw until the bracket does not slide on the tube.kogan-KABKALAMLTA-Anti-Theft-Bike-Alarm-fig- \(8\)

Note:

  • Check the tightness of the screw before use.
  • It is recommended to install the USB charging port face down for better waterproof effect.
  • The bike alarm must be charged to power on.

Installation Method 2: Zip Tie Installation
Zip tie installation is suitable if the bracket diameter does not fit your bike.

  1. Rotate the base into the bottom of the bike alarm.
  2. Insert the screw into the base and tighten.

OPERATION

Multifunctional Brake Light and Smart Brake

  • When the bike alarm is disarmed, press the Brake light/Mode button [ ] on the remote to select one of the following 5 light modes: Slow Flashing → Breathing → Blinking → Steady Light → OFF.
  • Slow Flashing mode and Breathing mode are intelligent auto modes:
    • The brake light will illuminate for 30 seconds and automatically detect the brightness of the riding environment. It will turn off when it is bright and turn on when it is dark.
    • In a dim environment, if you stop riding for more than 30 seconds, the brake light will automatically turn off to save power and automatically illuminate when you ride again.
  • Blinking and Steady Light modes can be turned on while riding and will not be affected by environmental brightness or vibrations.
  • If there is brake action when the brake light is on, the brake light will illuminate red for 2 seconds and return to the previous light mode when the brake is released.

Anti-theft Alarm

  • Arm:
    • To arm the bike alarm, press the Arm button [ ]. The bike alarm will beep. After 5 seconds, it will beep again and arm.
    • When motion or vibration is detected, the alarm will sound for 2 seconds. If more motion or vibration is detected within 2-12 seconds, the alarm will sound for 30 seconds (multiple sound effect cycles).
  • Disarm:
    To disarm the alarm, press the Disarm button [ ]. The bike alarm will beep and disarm.

Bike Location Alarm
Press the Alarm button [ ] button on the remote to sound the alarm to help you find your bike. The brake light will illuminate while the alarm is sounding, then return to the previous light mode.

Note:
This function is not available when the bike alarm is armed.

Settings

  1. Press and hold the Disarm button [ ] until the alarm beeps and the remote indicator turns off and on again. Release the Disarm button when you hear a second beep.
  2. Press the Arm button [ ] to select a sensitivity level. There are 7 sensitivity levels ranging from high to low. The default and recommended sensitivity level is level 2.
  3. Press the Brake light/Mode button [ ] to select the alarm sound that you like.
  4. To adjust the volume, Press the Alarm button [ ] on the remote control continuously to adjust the volume. There are 3 volume levels.
  5. When you are finished adjusting the settings, press the Disarm [ ] button on the remote control. The bike alarm will beep and exit the settings menu.

Note:

  • This function is not available when the bike alarm is armed.
  • If there is no user input within 10 seconds, the remote indicator will go off and exit the Settings menu.

Pair a Remote to the Bike Alarm
The provided remote and bike alarm will be paired when you receive them. To pair more remotes to the bike alarm:

  1. When the alarm is disarmed, press and hold the Pair button [ ] on the bike alarm for about 3 seconds until you heard a beep. The bike alarm will enter pairing mode.
  2. Press any button on the remote. The remote will beep and pair with the bike alarm.

Note:

  • Press the Pair button [ ] on the bike alarm to exit pairing. If there is no user input for 30 seconds, the bike alarm will exit pairing.
  • This bike alarm can pair with up to 8 remotes. If more remotes are paired, they will replace the existing paired remotes.

Delete all Paired Remotes:

  1. Press the Disarm button [ ], then press and hold the Pair button [ ] on the bike alarm.
  2. After 3 seconds, the bike alarm will beep and enter pairing mode.
  3. Continue holding the Pair button for 7 seconds until it beeps again. All remotes will be unpaired.

Low Battery Warning and Charging

Bike alarm:

  • If the bike alarm battery is low, when you press the Arm/Disarm buttons [ ] on the remote, the bike alarm will make a low-battery prompt sound, in addition to the arm/disarm beep.
  • To charge the bike alarm, open the USB-C port cover and connect one end of the provided USB-C cable to the USB-C port. Connect the other end to a 5V power adapter (not provided) and plug the adapter into an electrical outlet. The indicator will illuminate red when charging and turn off when fully charged.

Note:

  • Only use the provided charging cable to charge the bike alarm.
  • Some fast charge adapters may not be compatible.

Remote:
If the wireless range is reduced, the indicator is no longer illuminating or is only faintly illuminating, the remote control battery is low and needs to be replaced. To replace the battery:

  1. Pry at the gap with a small flat-head screwdriver to open the remote casing.
  2. Loosen the screw using a Phillips head screwdriver.
  3. Pry at the gap with a small flat-head screwdriver to open the battery cover.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Solution
The bike alarm or remote is not working. Check if the remote indicator

illuminates.  or only illuminates faintly, replace the battery.
The bike alarm battery is low. When you first receive the bike alarm, the battery will be low. It is recommended to fully charge the bike alarm before use.
If the bike alarm is charged and activated and the remote still -pair the bike alarm and remote again.
