Instructions for use HK respirator pump for calves #1032

The HK respirator pump by the Veterinarian Dr. Bron is suitable for the extraction of mucus from the mouth and nose of newborn calves and for resuscitation of the circulatory system for particularly difficult calvings.

1. The extraction of mucus from the mouth and nose of newborn calves. A greater quantity of mucus in the mouth and nose area can cause substantial problems when the calf begins to breathe and can even lead to death by suffocation. The removal of mucus by hand is totally insufficient in this case. The HK respirator pump is the solution. Press the opening on the rubber sleeve onto the mouth or nose with slight pressure and suction any mucus that is present by pulling the star grip. Then remove the HK respirator pump and place it to the side. Pressure on the star grip pushes the piston inside the HK respiratory pump down again and the suctioned mucus flows out. Repeat this process at your own discretion several times until most of the mucus has been suctioned off.

2. Fast resuscitation of the circulatory system in particularly difficult calf births. The birth process is a great strain for both mother and calf. In difficult births, caused by weak contractions, faulty positions or a calf that is too large, a longer duration of pressure on the ribcage is of decisive importance for the future of the newborn. Lung development and the normal start of breathing can be given decisive support through use of the HK respirator pump. For respiration or resuscitation the star handle and thus the piston inside the HK respiration is pulled out as far as possible. The opening on the rubber sleeve is then placed on the nose or mouth and the star handle pressed down slowly. Repeat this process at your own discretion.

Important note: The HK respiration pump must be carefully cleaned and disinfected after every use. Please store in a clean, dry place. We issue a guarantee in accordance with our general guarantee conditions.
