Product Usage Instructions

Installation:
- The engine has to be installed on the engine shelf and secured using the fastening screws. Follow the steps below:
- Install the engine on the engine shelf.
- Secure the engine using the fastening screws.
- Fit the centrifugal clutch.
- Fit the drive belt and throttle cable on the sawmill.
Throttle Cable Fitting:
- To fit the throttle cable, follow these steps:
- Remove the airbox filter and the lower part of the airbox.
- Adjust the throttle cable tension on the engine side.
Throttle Adjustment:
- Adjust the throttle as follows:
- Turn off the ignition and close the fuel valve.
- Always start and stop the machine from the operator’s station.
- Allow the engine and silencer to cool before servicing or maintenance.
Commissioning:
- Before commissioning, make sure to:
- Fit the hinge switch for the machine.
- Always switch off the machine from the operator’s position before working on the saw head.
Voltage Regulator Mounting:
- To mount the voltage regulator, follow these steps:
- Mount the voltage regulator onto the battery box.
- Connect the red cable with the fuse holder to the solenoid.
- Connect the cable between the battery’s positive terminal and the solenoid.
- Connect the cable between the negative terminal of the battery and the engine chassis to complete assembly.

Read through all the set-up instructions before starting to set up, then follow the instructions step by step as you work.
Numbering for installation sequence
After assembly, follow the instructions under the Setup sequence in the sawmill manual to complete setup before starting the machine.
Smart set
- These assembly operations (1–2) must not be performed if the machine is to be fitted with a Smart Set (see Smart Set manual). Go to step 3. $LOGOSOL-0458-395-5431-15-HP-Band-Sawmills-FIG-1 $4$$
Fit the handle on the handle tube. If this handle is fitted: Cut the wire housing to 1600 mm. $LOGOSOL-0458-395-5431-15-HP-Band-Sawmills-FIG-1 $5$$
Pull the wire and wire housing into the handle as illustrated. If this handle is installed: The wire housing = 2900 mm.
- WARNING! Heavy! Risk of injury. Two people are always required to help with heavy lifting.
- WARNING! Risk of entrapment. Wear protective gloves and handle the engine carefully when placing it down on the engine shelf.
- INSTALLATION: ENGINE AND THROTTLE CABLE The engine has to be installed on the engine shelf and secured using the fastening screws. The centrifugal clutch has to be fitted, and the drive belt and throttle cable also have to be fitted on the sawmill. Follow the assembly instructions, then run through the setup sequence for the machine when the assembly is complete.

Thread the drive belt around the drive wheel and over the tensioner. $LOGOSOL-0458-395-5431-15-HP-Band-Sawmills-FIG-1 $9$$
Fitting the throttle cable: Start by removing the airbox filter and the lower part of the airbox.
- WARNING! Risk of serious injury.
- Before adjusting the throttle cable tension on the engine: Turn the ignition to OFF and close the fuel valve.
- Always start the machine from the operator’s station. Always turn off the machine before adjusting the tension of the throttle cable on the engine side.
- WARNING! Risk of burn injuries. The engine and its silencer become very hot during operation and after the engine has been shut down.
- Allow the engine and silencer to cool before servicing or performing maintenance on the machine.
THROTTLE ADJUSTMENT
- Start by adjusting the throttle cable at the throttle handle so that you have equal adjustment travel in both directions (1)
- Attach the other end of the cable housing to the clamp on the engine (2)
- Then release the nut holding the throttle control (3) in place.
- Screw the cable into the nipple (4). Make sure that the throttle is in the neutral/unaffected position when doing this.
- Check that you have 1 to 3 mm of clearance in the throttle handle and that the cable moves freely. Adjust the cable tension at the throttle handle (1), if necessary
- Start the engine and check that it is idling and that the saw blade does not move while the throttle handle is in an idle position. Adjust the cable tension at the throttle handle (1), if necessary
- Secure the adjustment using the locking nuts (5) $LOGOSOL-0458-395-5431-15-HP-Band-Sawmills-FIG-1 $12$$

2. Then, connect the red cable with the fuse holder to the solenoid.
3. Then connect the cable between the battery’s positive terminal and the solenoid.

- The battery is placed in the protective box and secured using a strap as illustrated.
1. Connect the safety switch. The plug must be connected to the severable connector emerging out of the cable assembly.
