Product Information

The product is a 15 HP petrol engine manufactured by Loncin. It is designed for installation on the Logosol band sawmill. The engine comes with a SKU number of 0458-395-5431 and is supplied as part of a pack that includes an accessory pack specifically for the 15 HP Loncin engine.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Read through the user manual carefully and ensure understanding of its contents before using the saw.
  2. Assemble the sawmill according to the instructions provided in the user manual for the band sawmill.
  3. Follow the set-up instructions provided in the user manual before starting the machine.
  4. Fit the handle on the handle tube using the provided screws (1 x M6x50, 1 x M5x50, 1 x M6, 1 x M5).
  5. Ensure proper safety precautions are taken when handling the heavy engine to avoid injury. Two people should assist with heavy lifting.
  6. Carefully place the engine on the engine shelf, wearing protective gloves to avoid entrapment.
  7. Securely fasten the engine to the engine shelf using the provided fastening screws.
  8. Install the centrifugal clutch, drive belt, and throttle cable on the sawmill according to the assembly instructions.
  9. Complete the setup sequence for the machine as described in the sawmill manual after assembly.
  10. To fit the throttle cable, remove the airbox filter and lower part of the airbox.
  11. Before adjusting throttle cable tension, ensure the ignition is turned OFF and the fuel valve is closed to avoid serious injury.
  12. Always start and switch off the machine from the operator’s station. Adjust the tension of the throttle cable on the engine side only when the machine is turned off.
  13. Ensure the hinge switch for the machine is fitted before commissioning the machine. Always switch off the machine from the operator’s position before working on the saw head.
  14. Take precautions to avoid burn injuries as the engine and its silencer become very hot during operation and after shutdown. Allow sufficient cooling time before servicing or performing maintenance on the machine.
  15. To mount the voltage regulator on the battery box, connect the red cable with the fuse holder to the solenoid, then connect the cable between the battery’s positive terminal and the solenoid. Finally, connect the cable between the negative terminal of the battery and the engine chassis.
  16. Securely place the battery in the protective box using a strap.
