ASDCG203 Magnetic Digital Camber Gauge
The ASDCG203 Magnetic Digital Castor and Camber Gauge is a dual-function precision tool crucial for achieving accurate wheel alignment. This compact digital gauge is expertly designed to deliver fast and precise measurements of your vehicle’s camber and castor angles, ensuring optimal wheelalignment. Consistent use will result in a smoother ride, better fuel efficiency, and extended tire life.
WARNING: DO NOT DISASSEMBLE!
Never attempt to disassemble the device. Tampering with the device can result
in parts ejecting forcefully, posing a risk of injury. Any such disassembly or
unauthorized modifications will immediately void the product’s warranty.
SETUP:
Use the ASWG001 wheel clamp device or the ASWL470 tire clamp device with
the magnetic adapter for easy attachment. If these options are not available,
either remove the tire to expose the brake disc or place the gauge directly
onto the surface of the brake disc if accessible.
Once the gauge is affixed to the wheel, make sure the builtin horizontal
bubble level is perfectly centered.
CAMBER MEASUREMENT:
Center the gauge in the middle of the wheel or tire clamp device adapter
plate, ensuring the bubble level is centered. Switch on the gauge using the
“ON/OFF” button. The LCD will show the current camber angle.
Should camber adjustment be needed, press the “Zero” button to calibrate the
device to a neutral 0.0 reading. Wait for the screen to reset to this baseline
before making any camber adjustments. The gauge will now reflect any camber
changes, indicated by the digital display showing an increase (indicators
pointing outward) or decrease (indicators pointing inward) in the camber
angle.
CASTOR MEASUREMENT:
For castor measurement, place the front wheels on a set of turn plates,
available as the ASWG004 or ASWG008 in the AutoSolo catalog. Center the gauge
in the middle of the wheel or tire clamp device adapter plate, ensuring the
bubble level is centered. Power on the gauge, and the LCD will initially show
the camber angle.
Rotate the wheel outward to 20 degrees OUT, as shown on the turn plate dials,
then zero the gauge. Now, rotate the wheels 40 degrees inward to 20 degrees
IN. The digital gauge will display the change in degrees, indicating the
vehicle’s castor angle.
