PRE-INSTALLATION SITE SURVEY ensures your location is ready for installation.
FACTORY-AUTHORIZED INSTALLATION by trained service technicians.
Professional MECHANICAL START-UP completed by technician at time of
installation to ensure proper function.
Declining this service will INVALIDATE ANY WARRANTY CLAIMS RELATED TO IMPROPER
INSTALLATION.
AUTHORIZED SERVICE AGENT (ASA) RESPONSIBILITIES:
Note: The ASA will move equipment as long as it is within 5’ (1524mm) of the final landing place and it is an unobstructed path.
- Traveling to site; within 60 miles (120 miles round trip); within 97km (194km round trip)
- Performing pre-installation site visit and completing pre-installation checklist
- Stacking and assembly of associated stacking hardware, if shipped unstacked (stacked units are shipped stacked unless otherwise specified)
- Assembling and installing accessories (Ventech™ hood, RO system, grease collection system, liquid soap injection, etc.)
- Making final connections to all existing utilities within 3’ (914mm) of the oven (gas, electric, water, drain)
- Performing mechanical start-up of the oven
- Uncrating oven, placing on stand (if applicable), and setting in place
- Leveling the unit (report if flooring area is not leveled)
ALTO-SHAAM INSTALL PROGRAM REP RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing the process from order receipt through installation
- Managing receipt of site contact information
- Alerting the ASA partner that an installation has been purchased and a pre-installation site survey is required
- Receiving and storing all pre-installation, installation, and start-up paperwork
NON-DISCOUNTABLE FACTORY LIST PRICING:

STANDARD PRICING EXCLUDES:
- Recommended installation kit(s) (purchased separately)
- Installation materials required in place of an installation kit
- Additional materials required beyond what is in the installation kit due to the specific location being installed
- Delivery to the end user location, or directly to the ASA
- Moving the unit to within 5’ (1524mm) of final destination
- Addressing any site related issues
- Additional visit beyond the pre-site inspection and the installation/start-up visit
- Special licensing or permits
- Overtime labor or additional travel beyond 120 miles round trip
- Removal of packing material, and removal/scrapping of old unit
- Installation of a water filtration system, unless water treatment installation was purchased as part of the installation program.
END USER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The end user must supply the materials required for the installation. It is highly recommended that customer purchase a Combination installation kit that includes most items required for a typical installation. The end-user has the option of providing the materials for installation themselves or purchasing the materials from an ASA.
- Any additional services not covered under the installation program will need to be paid to the ASA directly.
- The equipment to be installed must be positioned within 5’ (1524mm) of its final destination on-site with an unobstructed path to the installation area. Additional charges may apply if this criteria is not met.
- Ensure that all existing/final utility connections needed, meet all applicable federal, state and local codes.
- Drinkable water supply line that meets the water requirements listed on the spec sheet(s) with a completion of a water analysis from the supply line.
- Units will be shipped even if the pre-site inspection has not been done.
INSTALLATION AREA REQUIREMENTS:
- Must include a level, non-combustible surface for the oven to be installed upon
- Must include an exhaust hood installed in accordance with local and/or national codes, regulations and standards under which the oven maybe installed. If there is a ventless hood option is included with the install, please refer to installation specifications for the ventless hood option.
- Must not be affected by steam, grease, dripping water, high temperatures, or any other severely adverse condition
- Zero clearance is acceptable but 18” (457mm) is recommended (not required) for service access on the left hand side. Any moving of equipment may result in additional charges
- Must have an ambient temperature above 60°F (16°C), with a maximum non-condensing relative humidity of 95%
- Must include a floor drain within 3’ (914mm) of oven, but not directly underneath the oven
- All utilities must be ready for final connections. If this criteria is not meant, the service agency may charge for the return visit.
- Must have a clean, drinkable water supply line that meets the water requirements listed on the spec sheet(s). If needed, based on water analysis, Alto-Shaam recommends that a water filtration system be purchased and installed before scheduling the installation visit.
**UTILITY CONNECTION REQUIREMENTS:

One dedicated circuit per oven with a junction box or electrical disconnect positioned within 3’ (914mm) of unit.

Two cold-water inlets per oven- drinking quality within 3 feet (1m) of where each appliance will be installed.
– One treated water inlet: 3/4” NPT male connection. Line pressure 30 psi minimum dynamic and 90 psi maximum static (200-600 kPa) at a minimum flow rate of 0.26 gpm (1 L/min). If there is reverse osmosis system included with the install program, please refer to installation specifications for the reverse osmosis system.
– One untreated water inlet: 3/4” NPT male connection. Line pressure 30 psi minimum dynamic and 90 psi maximum static (200-600 kPa) at a minimum flow rate of 2.64 gpm (10L/min). Water drain: 1-1/2” (40mm) connection with a vertical vent to extend above the exhaust vent. Materials must withstand temperatures up to 200°F (93°C). -
If applicable, one dedicated 3/4” gas supply line within 3’ (914mm) with a 3/4” NPT pipe connection with a shut-off valve (per oven) of where each appliance(s) will be installed.
NEW 2020 ADDITIONS TO INSTALLATION OPTIONS (PRICING MAY VARY):
- The field installation of Alto-Shaam’s new Ventech™ Type 1 hoods with condensation technology. To ensure the highest quality and seamless installation upon delivery, factory installation remains the default selection when ordering Combination ovens with ventless hood. However, field installation remains available.
- Single/stacked Combination with an Optipure OPS175CR Reverse Osmosis System (includes one Chloramine Filter) installation. To compensate for the different combi oven size offerings, the OptiPure system will have different sized storage tanks. Available sizes include 5, 10, or 16 gallon.
Both of these optional accessories will be additional charges with the current
rates of the Combination installation program.
ASA partners will be required to install these accessories should a customer
purchase the Combination installation program.
All responsibilities listed above still apply to these two new accessory
additions.
