Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that the Bilge Discharge Control System is properly installed on your vessel according to the provided installation instructions.
  2. Familiarize yourself with the system’s components, including the three-way valve, OCM, and door position sensors.
  3. Before starting the bilge water discharge process, make sure that the three-way valve is in the correct position to prevent the discharge of oily water. Refer to the system’s documentation for the correct valve position.
  4. Monitor the flow and oil content of the bilge water using the system’s monitoring interface. Ensure that the flow through the OCM is within acceptable limits and that the oil content is below the specified threshold.
  5. Keep track of the ship’s position and time during the discharge process to maintain accurate records.
  6. Check the door position sensor to ensure that the bilge water discharge door is securely closed before initiating the discharge process.
  7. Generate discharge reports after each bilge water discharge to document the process and maintain compliance with regulations.
  8. Optional: Consider upgrading the Bilge Discharge Control System with Marinfloc Bridge Control or Ocean Guardian for enhanced control and monitoring capabilities.
  9. For more detailed instructions on the usage of the Bilge Discharge Control System, refer to the user manual provided with the product or visit marinfloc.com.

Fail-safe discharge of bilge water

The Marinfloc WhiteBox® is a fail‐safe system for overboard discharge. It is installed between the oily water separator and the overboard valve and is designed to prevent non-compliant discharge of bilge water from machinery spaces onboard ships.

Control and peace of mind

The WhiteBox® provides evidence of the vessel’s activities regarding discharge. The data, e.g. oil content, overboard flow, and vessel’s position, is stored in a secure digital format and can be presented upon request on the display or on a separate computer.
