SUNDIRECT LM350-Pro Mirror Infrared Heater Lighting Mirror Heater

Read the installation and operating instructions completely before starting any installation works and save the instructions for later use.

DESCRIPTION OF THE SYMBOLS
Before using this heater, please refer to the corresponding section in this instruction manual. By European directives applicable to this product.

WARNING
To avoid the heater overheating, do not cover it. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates that the item should be disposed of separately from household waste. The item should be handed in for recycling by local environmental regulations for waste disposal. By separating a marked item from household waste, you will help reduce the volume of waste sent to incinerators or landfills and minimise any potential negative impact on human health and the environment.

Product-related safety warnings

• Do NOT cover the heater with anything. Covering may cause overheating and can result in fire.
• Prolonged contact may cause injuries or burns.
• This heater is designed to be wall mounting, please don’t mount them on the ceiling.
• This heater can be easily operated using your smartphone, via the same WIFI, via a different
• WIFI or via a 3G, 4G or 5G mobile network. This makes it possible to operate your heater remotely, without your direct supervision.
• However, please make sure that all safety precautions stated in this manual must be taken even with remote operation.

Dangers for children and persons with limited abilities

• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.
• Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
• Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance
• CAUTION — Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
• Do NOT operate the heater in small rooms when occupied by people not capable of leaving the room by themselves. Keep out of reach of children and disabled persons.
• Keep away babies and children from all packaging material such as plastic bags to avoid the danger of suffocation.

Electric safety directions

• When installing, repairing or servicing the heater it must be turned off and disconnected from power. Before installation please check if the heater is free of damage.
• If the heater or the power cord is damaged in any form do NOT use the heater and contact your Sundirect dealer for repair or replacement. Repairs, maintenance or any changes must be carried out by an authorized Sundirect dealer.
• DO NOT attempt to repair the heater by yourself, this will void your warranty.
• If the heater has been dropped do NOT operate it and contact your Sundirect dealer to make sure it is free of any damages.
• This heater is designed to operate at 230V,50Hz AC. If your supply mains do not comply with this, do NOT use the heater.
• the heater must not be located immediately below a socket outlet
• WARNING: The glass heater must not be used if the glass surface is damaged.
• WARNING: Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own unless constant supervision is provided.

How to care for your Sundirect heater

Cleaning
Always unplug your heater and let it cool down completely before cleaning. Never dip into water and never splash water on it. Clean the heater with a soft damp cloth. Use a soft cloth and glass cleaner. Never use a wet cloth and make sure to dry the heater when clean with a dry cloth. Do not use any abrasive materials, solvents or harsh cleaning sponges as this could cause scratches or other irreparable damage. Before operating the heater again it must be completely dry.

Using/Working
Do not cover your heater with a picture foil and do not paint or print on the heater yourself. This might cause damage to the heating element and will void your warranty. If you notice any noise, smells, visible changes or exceptionally high temperatures, please discontinue use and contact an authorised Sundirect dealer.

Repair
Repairs must be carried out by authorised Sundirect dealers or by Sundirect directly. If you attempt to alter the product or to proceed with any repairs yourself it will void your warranty.

Disposal
This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed of with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmentally safe recycling.

Mounting Installation

Note: The kit supplied in the package is designed for mounting vertically on a solid wall. If mounted onto other types of walls, you will need appropriate fixings (not supplied). Please make sure the wall is safe to mount. We highly recommend having the panel installed by a qualified electrician or installer authorized by Sundirect. The heater must be at least 20 cm removed from all objects, walls, etc.; the distance to the floor must be at least 20 cm.

Step 1. Use the supplied mounting bracket to mark the position of the holes on the wall. For vertical wall mounting “A” signal will be at the top of the mounting bracket. For horizontal wall mounting “B” signal will be at the top of the mounting bracket.
Step 2. Drill holes using an 8mm drill.
Step 3. Insert the dowels into the holes.
Step 4. Screw the screws into the dowels through the holes in the mounting bracket.
Step 5. Mount the panel on the mounting bracket.
Step 6. Move the panel into two directions, tight the 4 spacers on the back side of the mirror to make sure the panel is secured.

Operation

General Introduction to the Smart Control
The LM-Pro has an integrated WiFi touchscreen control box, which means there is no additional thermostat needed to control the heater. The panel can either be controlled manually using the touch screen on the bottom of the mirror surface or operated via a smartphone. Once the heater has been connected to the APP, the smartphone will take control along with the control box. If your home internet is not working, it is still possible to operate the heater via touchscreen. Just power off the heater and power it on again after a few seconds. Once the heater is reconnected to the WiFi, it will automatically reconnect to the smartphone. Both heating and lighting systems can be easily operated via the touch button and the APP.

When the screen display shows “OFF”, it means that the heater is in standby mode and not completely disconnected from the electricity.

Manual Heating Control
Heating on/off: Press the power button to turn on/off the heating function of this heater. Count-down timer: Power on the heater, press and hold the “-” button for 3 seconds until the screen shows 00H, modify the count-down number by pressing the“+” or “-” button.

Lighting control
Lighting on/off: Press the “light” button to turn on/off the lighting. Dimmable: Press and hold the “light” button; the brightness of the lighting will be dimmable to minimum or maximum until you hear a beep sound.
Colour temperature: With the touch button, you can change to different colour temperatures. Press and hold both “light” and “-” buttons until you see “C1” on the screen, adjust between “C1”, ”C2”, and “C3”, which refers to 6000K/4000K or 3000K colour. After connecting the device to the APP, you have more colour temperature options to choose from.

Anti-foggy mode
This heater has an anti-foggy mode function. Press and hold the power button until “AF” appears on the screen to enter the anti-foggy mode. It will cycle for 20 minutes ensuring no fog on the mirror surface; after completion, the heater will be in the “OFF” position. If you wish to quit in between, press and hold the power button until “OFF” appears on the screen.

Child lock
Press both the “+” and “-” buttons together for 3 seconds to activate child lock mode; “CL” will appear on the screen. Press both buttons again to deactivate child lock mode.

Open window detection
This heater has an open window detection function which is off by default but can be activated after connecting your heater to the APP. When the function is on, the heater will monitor the heating system; in case of a dramatic temperature decrease in a short period, “OP” will flash on the screen. The system will shut off the heater and normal operation will resume after 30 minutes; pressing any button in between will return the heater to normal operation.

Temperature calibration
Power on the heater; The screen shows temperature readings now. Press and hold the “+” button for 5 seconds to enter temperature calibration mode; edit the number by pressing the “+” or “-” button (adjustable between +5/-5 degrees).

Additional APP Functions
After connecting to the APP, you will be able to do more settings, including:

• Set up a heating mode and schedule
• Remotely operate your heater
• Constantly check the energy consumption of your heating system (Settings>>Energy Saving Statistics)
• Disable the “Beep” noise

Control via APP
How to download the Sundirect Smart APP
Scan the QR code on the right side to start the procedure to download the APP, or you can download the APP “Sundirect Smart” on the APP Store or Google Play, open the APP and register with your phone number or Email address.

Connect to WIFI
Step1: Turn on the heater. The WIFI signal will start to flash rapidly. Open the APP on your smartphone and add your device. Choose “Add Device”, then “Add Manually”, and then choose “Thermostat” to add the device.

Step 2: Enter the WIFI password of your home network. Please make sure your home WIFI is working and keep the heater and smartphone as close as possible to the WIFI router. Please notice that this heater is only working with 2.4GHz WIFI networks, it doesn’t support 5GHz networks currently. Also, make sure your internet router has enough capacity to add a new device.
Step3: Wait till the connection status shows 100% to finish the settings and the WIFI signal on the control box will stop flashing. If the heater fails to connect, please power off the heater and power it back on again after a few seconds to retry. If you still have any difficulty with the WIFI connection, please try a different WIFI connection mode, refer to “WIFI reset” in point 4.11.

WIFI Reset
This heater offers two types of WIFI connection modes: EZ mode and AP mode. When the WIFI signal is flashing rapidly, the heater is under EZ mode; under AP mode, the WIFI signal will flash slowly. If you have any issues with one connection mode, try another.
You can switch between two connection modes by following these steps: Turn on the heater, press the power button until the screen shows “OFF”, press and hold the “+” button for 5 seconds to reset the WIFI; meanwhile, the WIFI connection mode will change.

Activate/Deactivate the WIFI Function
Power on the heater, press the power button until the screen shows “OFF”, press and hold the “-” button for 10 seconds to deactivate this heater’s WIFI function; The WIFI sign-on screen will disappear. Press and hold the “-” button for 10 seconds again to reactivate it.

Warranty

Sundirect offers a 3-year manufacturing warranty on LM-Pro. You can find the serial number on the back side of the heater as well as the last page of this user manual. Please always keep this manual in case of future warranty claims. Within the warranty period from the date of purchase, Sundirect will repair or replace your heater where the fault is due to defects in workmanship or materials. Please contact your local Sundirect dealer in the event of a warranty claim and return the heater together with proof of purchase. The warranty covers the repair or replacement of the heater only and Sundirect shall not be liable for any other occurring costs such as installation cost or any other consequential losses however incurred. Please note that tampering with or opening the heater in any way will void your warranty.

The removal of the serial number on the back of the heater will also void this warranty. All labels on the back of the heater shall not be removed. Any damages to the heater caused by the user are not covered by this warranty. This includes scratches on the surface. Sun Direct is not responsible for any damages, losses or injuries due to ingress of water or moisture, accidental damage, mishandling, external impact, repairs or adjustment by unauthorized persons or failure to follow the correct safety, maintenance and installation precautions stated in this manual.
