Mounting instructions

The Smart2.0 can be used as a portable unit or surface mounted on the wall. Follow the below drawing to finish the wall mounting or to change the battery.

Operation

3.1 Pair to the receiver
All “Plus” range heaters have a built-in thermostat receiver-Receiver01 on the backside of the panel. On the right, see the drawing of the signal lights and button of Receiver01. The following is a detailed description of the buttons and signal lights:

  1. Pair status signal light (green light)
  2. Heating status signal light (red light)
  3. “P” button
  4. Power switch

Step1: Plug your heater to an electricity outlet, switch the Power switch of Receiver01 on, double press the “P” button and the “Pair signal light” will start to flash and is ready for pairing.
Step2: Power-off the Smart2.0, long press the “SET” button. The “PAIR” signal will show on the screen of the remote control. Wait until the “Pair signal light” stops flashing and glows green to finish the pairing.
Note: Once Receiver01 and Smart2.0 are paired, the pair signal light will always be on and the Receiver01 will be only commanded by the Smart2.0.
One Receiver01 can only pair to one Smart2.0, however, one Smart2.0 can be paired to up to 10pcs Receiver01 if they are in the same room.
3.2 Time settings and temperature calibration

Power on Smart2.0. Press the “SET” button for 3 seconds to enter the settings.
The screen on the thermostat will show as below and the minutes of the timer setting will start to flash.

Modify settings by pressing the “-” and “+” buttons. Continue by pressing “SET” to save settings and shift from one menu to another. If you would like to leave settings, press the “POWER” button to quit.

3.3 Brief introduction of operation modes
Smart2.0 has 3 different operation modes:

  • Manual mode (MAN): Simple manual temperature control with 24H count-down timer function.
  • Smart mode (PRG): Programmable temperature control- 7days per week*4 time zones per day.
  • Holiday mode (HOL): Holiday temperature control with a countdown timer of the holiday mode period.

3.4 Manual mode
To enter manual mode, power on the thermostat, press the “PRG” button until the “MAN” sign shows on the thermostat. Now, the thermostat will operate in Manual mode. Adjust the desired temperature by pressing ”-” and “+“.
Under Manual mode, you can set a countdown timer by short pressing the “Holiday” button. Adjust the countdown timer hours by pressing ”-” or “+”. Press “Holiday” again to confirm. To quit the countdown timer, adjust the number to 00H, confirm by pressing “Holiday” button.

3.5 Smart mode
3.5.1 Entering Smart mode
To enter Smart mode power on thermostat, press “PRG” until “PRG” sign shows on thermostat. Now thermostat will operate in Smart mode. Adjust desired temperature by pressing ”-” and “+“, i.e you are adjusting
temperature setting of this current time zone for once. If you would like to permanently modify setting, please follow next paragraph (3.5.2 Smart mode program setting).
3.5.2 Smart mode program setting
a.) Press the PRG button until the screen shows PRG.
b.) Long press “PRG” to start the program setting.
c). You will see the number (01) will start to flash. The number 01 or 02 refers to two different program setting as follows,
01: Simple program setting- 5+2(weekday and weekend)
02: Precise program setting- 7days each day individual setting.
Choose the number 01 or 02 by pressing “-” or “+” button, confirm and press “PRG” again to go to the detail setting of the program.
d). Press “-” or “+” button to set the time of the 1st period of Monday Program
e). Press the “PRG” button again to confirm the time setting and the screen will shift to the temperature setting of the 1st period of the Program.
f). Continue by pressing the “PRG” button to shift to the time setting of the 2nd period. Repeat above procedure to finish settings of remaining 3 periods of Program. Then move on to setting of next day until Sunday to finish.
To leave settings in between, please press the “Power” button.
3.5.3 Default program setting on Smart mode
The following table shows our default program settings of Smart mode. To modify program on Smart mode, we suggest you calibrate clock setting, then make a similar table as our example and set according to table. Of course, you can also set up each day differently according to your schedule.

3.6 Holiday mode
Holiday mode on Smart2.0 is a useful feature you can use to avoid frozen or bursting water pipes during prolonged leave. It has a countdown timer of your holiday date and remaining days of your holiday will be shown on thermostat. After holiday period, thermostat will switch back to Manual or Smart mode as per your previous settings.
3.6.1 Enter Holiday mode
a). Press and hold the “Holiday” button until temperature reading starts to flash.
b). Set desired room temperature by pressing the “-” or “+” button.
c). Press the “Holiday” button again to set how many days you will leave.
d). Press the “Holiday” button again to confirm setting and enter holiday mode.
If you need to shift back to regular mode before set holiday time is over, press the “PRG” button to quit Holiday mode.
3.7 Energy saving features:
3.7.1 Open window detection : This thermostat has energy saving feature of Open window detection, you can turn function on/off by pressing the “SET” and “+” button together for 3 seconds.
3.7.2 Adaptive start: This thermostat has energy saving feature of adaptive start, you can turn function on/off by pressing the “SET” and “-” buttontogether for 3 seconds.
3.8 More functions
3.8.1Child lock: Pressing the “SET” and “Holiday” button together for 3 seconds activates/deactivates child lock function.
3.8.2Factory reset: Power off thermostat, then press and hold the “Holiday” button for 5 seconds until screen starts flashing to go back to factory mode.

Warranty

Sundirect offers a 2-year manufacturing warranty on Smart2.0.
Within the warranty period from the date of purchase, Sundirect will repair or replace your Smart2.0 where the fault is due to defects in workmanship or materials. Please contact your local Sundirect dealer in the event of a warranty claim and return the control box together with proof of purchase.
The warranty covers the repair or replacement of the Smart2.0 only. The removal of the serial number on the back of Smart2.0 will also void this warranty. All labels shall not be removed.
Any damages to Smart2.0 caused by the user are not covered by this warranty. This includes scratches on the surface. Sundirect is not responsible for any damages, losses or injuries due to the ingress of water or moisture, accidental damage, mishandling, external impact, repairs or adjustment by unauthorized persons.
