Safety Information
Danger
- The instructions provided herein are only for general information. ALWAYS perform all repairs in full compliance with your vehicle’s service manual. After any repair, test your engine and vehicle in your workshop and at low speed before returning to normal use. Failure to do so may result in serious property damage and severe personal injury.
- ALWAYS torque down the fasteners to their stated toques.
- ONLY use this product for its intended purpose, tightening vehicular fasteners. Do not use the ratchet to loosen nuts that bind too tight. Excessive force may damage the internal gear.
- DO NOT allow use by children, by persons whose mental or physical condition precludes safe use, or by persons unfamiliar with this product and its compatible vehicle systems.
- DO NOT use while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any medication that negatively affects your judgment or reflexes. Keep children and bystanders away during use.
- Keep your work site clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark work areas invite accidents. For best results, keep the kit clean and dry. Remove any fluid, oil, or grease before and after work.
- ALWAYS use personal protective equipment (PPE) suitable to your task. Always wear ANSI and OSHA-approved eye, breathing, and hand protection while using this product. Normal use of this product typically produces microscopic particles known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Nonslip footwear is also highly recommended.
- Other equipment such as ear, head, and body protection may also be necessary depending on your work, work environment, and other equipment.
- Dress properly for automotive servicing. DO NOT wear loose clothing or jewelry and keep hair, clothing, gloves, hoses, and tools away from any moving parts during use.
- ALWAYS know and understand the specific safety warnings and instructions for your vehicle before using this kit. Use the correct fluids, pressures, adapters, etc. for your vehicle. Make sure the vehicle is fully supported and parked before beginning any work. Take care to never touch any heated surface with exposed skin.
- DO NOT overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
- Maintain this product. Check for misalignment, binding, wear, or other damage before use. If any damage is detected, repair or replace the problematic components before further use.
- Automotive repair is inherently dangerous. This manual and the separate vehicle service manual cannot cover every possible situation that may arise. Use good judgement at all times.

Operation
Warning
ONLY use these sockets with the ratchet wrench. DO NOT use power or pneumatic tools, whose excessive torque will cause damage to the tool and your fasteners.
- Refer to the servicing manual of the vehicle and determine the torque needed for the fastener to be tightened.
- Flip the pointer to the right. Flipping the pointer to the left changes the direction the drive of the ratchet turns.
- Pull back the black sleeve, hold it, and then turn the handle to select a torque.
- Note: The more turns you rotate the handle clockwise, the bigger the torque.
- The torque is displayed in both metric and imperial units.
- Select the appropriate socket according to your vehicle’s service manual and the specifications of target nuts.
- Note: Use the extension rod if the nut is hard to reach.
- Press and hold the black button as shown on the 3/8″ torque wrench, and then insert the drive of the wrench into the square hole on the socket you have chosen.
- Position the socket and the ratchet precisely over the nut that requires tightening.
- Turn the ratchet counterclockwise/anti-clockwise by a quarter turn or smaller fraction of turn and turn clockwise for the same fraction of turn until you hear a crisp click, indicating that the selected torque has been reached.
Maintenance
- Clean the tools with a soft damp cloth using a mild detergent or solution after use. DO NOT rinse them or use abrasive cleaners or caustic chemicals.
- Check the tools periodically for any wear or damage. Repair or replace any problematic piece before further use.
- If the tools will not be used for an extended period of time, clean and lubricate them and store them in a cool dry place inaccessible to children.
