  •  It is recommended that this electric blanket is plugged directly into the electrical outlet.
  • A correctly specified, undamaged extension cord may be used with this electric blanket if it is used in a safe manner.
  • Do not operate this electric blanket with the cord coiled up, as heat build-up is likely, which could become a hazard.
  • Do not use heavy or dense blankets on top of this electric blanket as they may lead to overheating.
  • The power cord must be routed to the head of the bed to prevent being sat on or rolled on when getting in and out of the bed.
  • Ensure the power cord is not tight because if pulled, it may partially pull the plug from the electrical outlet. A partially inserted plug will overheat the plug and outlet and could result in fire.
  • Do not trap, wrap or fold cords between bed slats, mattresses or springs or against walls, headboards or bed frames as this may cause damage to the cord.
  • Regularly check the power cord for damage.
  • Do not pinch, flex or expose the heating wire. Damaged heating wire may cause a fire hazard or injury.
  • Do not place the power cord under carpet or cover it with rugs or furniture. Arrange the cord so it cannot be tripped over.
  • Do not use this electric blanket on a bed used by an infant or vulnerable persons who are unable to react to overheating.
  • This electric blanket is not intended for medical use in hospitals.
  • Do not use this electric blanket on a damp mattress or on a waterbed.
  • Do not use this electric blanket on an adjustable bed.

  • Do not dry clean the electric blanket. Do not use bleach or harsh cleaning liquids as they may damage the insulation of the heating element.

  • Never use the electric blanket to dry clothes.
  • Do not tuck in the electric blanket as this may cause overheating and/or fire.
  • The electric blanket must only be operated by the provided controller.
  • Do not unplug the power cord while in use. Always turn the power off at the switch before removing the plug. Always pull from the plug; do not pull on the cord.
  • Never sleep with the electric blanket on. Always turn it off before sleeping.
  • The electric blanket must not be powered on when folded. Always ensure the blanket is laid flat without kinks or overlaps.

OPERATION

Fitting the Electric Blanket

  • Place the electric blanket on the mattress with the skirt on top of the electric blanket. Ensure the end of the electric blanket with the controller is at the top end of the bed.

  • Position the power cord to prevent it being sat on or rolled on when getting in or out of the bed as this will damage it.
    Operation

  • Once the electric blanket is in the correct position, fit the skirt over the mattress.Operation

  • Connect the controller to the socket on the electric blanket. Then, plug the power cord into an electrical outlet and turn it on. The controller must be kept outside the bed and away from external sources of heat, such as heaters or bedside lamps

Controller

  • To switch on the electric blanket, slide the ON/OFF switch to the ‘ON’ position. The timer and temperature will illuminate on the display screen. The electric blanket will default to a medium setting for both ‘Body’ and ‘Feet’.
  • Adjust your required body zone temperature or your feet zone temperature by pressing the ‘Body’ or ‘Feet’ buttons to select from 1-9 heat settings.
  • Press the ‘Timer’ button to choose the heating time you need for your body and feet zones (2 hours or 10 hours). The electric blanket will turn off when the time lapsed.
  • To switch off the blanket, sl ide the ON/OFF switch to the ‘OFF’ position.

Temperature Settings:

  • 1-3 low, gentle heat.
  • 4-6 medium heat.
  • 7-9 high heat.

Operation

Notes:

  • When lying on the blanket some people may experience a tingling sensation.
    This tingling sensation is known as an electric field effect caused by the current flowing through the elements and creating an Electromagnetic Field (EMF).
    Some people may be more sensitive to feeling the EMF tingling sensation than others. It is known to occur across all makes and models. This is no cause for concern and is in not an electric shock.

  • Two controllers are supplied with double, queen, and king size blankets.

CLEANING & CARE

  • Do not dry clean.
  • Do not iron.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not use a wringer.
  • Do not turn on the electric blanket until it is completely dry.
  • Do not use mothballs or sprays of any kind.

Spot Cleaning

  • Unplug and remove the controller from the electric blanket.
  • Apply a mild soap and lukewarm water solution to the affected area using a damp sponge. Ensure the water temperature is less than 30°C.
  • Gently sponge the affected area with clean water.
  • Use a neutral coloured towel to absorb excess water

Hand Washing

  1. Unplug and remove the controller from the electric blanket.
  2. Fold and pre-soak the electric blanket for 15 minutes in a mild soap and lukewarm water solution. Ensure the water temperature is less than 30°C.
  3. Gently squeeze the soap suds through for a few minutes.
  4. Rinse the electric in clean, lukewarm water.

Air Drying

  • Gently stretch the electric blanket to its original size.
  • Air dry the electric blanket over a clothesline or towel rack.
  • Do not use clothes pegs or clips of any kind.
  • Do not re-connect the controller or use the electric blanket until it is completely dry.

Machine Washing

  1. Unplug and remove the controller from the electric blanket.
  2. Fold and pre-soak the electric blanket for 15 minutes in a mild soap and lukewarm water solution. Ensure the water temperature is less than 30°C.
  3. Wash the electric blanket in mild soap and lukewarm water on the delicate or gentle cycle for 2 minutes.
  4. Rinse in fresh lukewarm water.
  5. Do not re-connect the controller or use the electric blanket until it is completely dry.

Storage

  • Always allow the electric blanket to cool before folding and storing.
  • The electric blanket can remain on the bed all year round as a comfortable underblanket.
  • Remove the controller from the electric blanket before storing.
  • If you wish to remove the electric blanket from your bed when not in use, roll or fold it loosely and store it in a blanket bag or the bag it was supplied in.
  • Avoid creating sharp creases in the electric blanket, for example, do not store it under other items that may cause the wires to bend.
