b) Driving the vehicle
-
Improper use can cause serious injury and damage to property!
-
Only use the vehicle when you are fully alert and able to respond. As is the case when driving a real vehicle, fatigue, alcohol or medications can affect your ability to react.
-
This model vehicle must not be used on public roads, spaces or paths. In addition, do not operate it on private grounds without the owner’s permission.
-
Never use the model in an area that may endanger other people, animals or objects. Do not drive towards people or animals!
-
Before using the vehicle in a specially designated area (e.g. model car racing/rally track), ask the operator for permission.
-
Avoid driving at very low outdoor temperatures. Plastic parts lose their elasticity at cold temperatures. This can result in serious damage even after a minor accident.
-
Do not use the vehicle during thunderstorms, under high-voltage power lines or next to radio masts.
-
Protect the vehicle, battery and transmitter from moisture and dirt. Do not expose the transmitter to direct sunlight or excessive heat for prolonged periods.
-
Always leave the transmitter turned on when the vehicle is in use.
-
In the event of a malfunction, discontinue use immediately and establish the cause of the problem before using the model again.
-
To stop the vehicle, always switch the vehicle off first. You can then switch the transmitter off.
-
If you do not intend to drive the vehicle for an extended period of time (e.g. for storage), disconnect the drive battery from the vehicle. Otherwise, the battery may go into deep discharge, which can cause permanent damage.
-
If the batteries in the transmitter are weak, the range will decrease and the vehicle may not respond properly to transmitter commands. In this case, stop driving the vehicle and switch it off. Then, replace the batteries in the transmitter with new ones.
-
When the vehicle’s drive battery is weak, the vehicle will become slow and/or will no longer respond correctly to the transmitter. The drive battery powers the engine via the built-in speed controller, as well as the receiver and the steering function.
If the voltage in the drive battery is too low, this affects the receiver and may cause the vehicle to stop responding to transmitter commands.
In that case, stop driving the vehicle immediately (switch the vehicle and transmitter off). Replace the drive battery, replace it with a fully charged battery or recharge the battery. Allow the battery to cool down completely before charging. -
The engine, drive electronic components and drive battery heat up during use. Take a break of at least 5 – 10 minutes before changing the battery.
c) Camera
- Live transmission of the video signal from the camera on the vehicle to a smartphone (not included) enables ‘FPV operation’ (FPV = first person view = driving with the video image). FPV mode increases the risk of accidents, as you may not see obstacles due to the restricted field of view. There is also the risk of damaging or losing the vehicle. As a general rule, when using FPV mode, the vehicle must be monitored by a co-pilot who can warn you about potential hazards.
- To ensure interference-free transmission of video signals, there should be no other transmitters in the model’s 2.4 GHz transmission range nearby. The smartphone’s Bluetooth® function must be disabled.
- Always observe all applicable national laws and regulations governing FPV driving.
- Respect other people’s privacy when storing images and videos. These are intended for your private use only. The consent of the owner or people in the image/video may be required if you wish to publish the content. Always observe the applicable regulations in your country.
Battery information
Although batteries are very useful in our everyday life, they still present
numerous safety hazards. Always observe the following safety information when
handling batteries.
a) General information
- Keep batteries out of reach of children.
- Do not leave batteries lying around, as they present a choking hazard for children and pets. Seek immediate medical advice if a battery is swallowed!
- Batteries must never be short-circuited, disassembled or thrown into the fire. This may cause an explosion!
- When handling leaking or damaged batteries, always use suitable protective gloves to avoid burning your skin.
- Liquids leaking from batteries are chemically highly aggressive. Objects or surfaces coming into contact with these liquids could be severely damaged. Therefore, keep batteries in a suitable location.
- Do not attempt to recharge disposable, non-rechargeable batteries. This may cause a fire or explosion! Only recharge compatible rechargeable batteries and ensure that you use a suitable battery charger.
- Always ensure that the batteries and the drive battery are inserted with the correct polarity (observe the positive/+ and negative/- symbols).
- Only charge intact and undamaged batteries. Do not charge the drive battery if the external insulation or battery housing is damaged, or if the battery is deformed or swollen. This may cause a fire or explosion!
- Never charge batteries immediately after use. Always allow them to cool down for at least 5 – 10 minutes.
- Never leave batteries unattended when they are charging.
- Batteries should be charged regularly (approx. once every 2 – 3 months) to prevent deep discharge due to self-discharge. The Li-ion battery will be permanently damaged in the event of deep discharge.
- If the device is not used for an extended period of time (e.g. storage), remove the battery from the vehicle to prevent it from leaking and causing damage. In addition, remove the batteries from the transmitter.
b) Transmitter
- Using rechargeable batteries in the transmitter results in significantly shorter battery life due to the lower voltage (disposable batteries = 1.5 V, rechargeable batteries = 1.2 V). For this reason, always use non-rechargeable batteries in the transmitter.
- Always exchange the entire set of batteries in the transmitter. Do not mix full batteries with half-full ones. Always use batteries of the same type and from the same manufacturer.
- If you do not plan to use the vehicle for an extended period (e.g. during storage), remove the batteries from the transmitter to prevent them from leaking and causing damage.
c) Vehicle/drive battery
- Only use the single-cell Li-ion drive battery supplied (rated voltage 3.7 V) or an identical replacement battery to power the vehicle.
- If the device is not going to be used for an extended period of time (e.g. storage), disconnect the drive battery from the vehicle. Otherwise, the drive battery may go into deep discharge, which can cause permanent damage. Remove the drive battery from the vehicle to avoid damage to due leaking. Store the drive battery out of the reach of children.
- Only charge the drive battery using the USB charger supplied and a suitable USB power adapter.
- The drive battery, the USB charger and the USB power adapter heat up during the charging process. Never cover them during the charging process. Do not expose the drive battery or charger to high/low temperatures, direct sunlight or moisture.
- Disconnect the drive battery from the USB charger when the battery is fully charged.
- Do not charge the battery inside a vehicle.
- Keep the battery out of the reach of children. Children may accidentally short-circuit the battery, which can cause a fire or an explosion. The danger of death!
- Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of strong magnetic or electromagnetic fields, transmitter aerials or HF generators. These may affect the charger’s electronic control system.
- When handling the battery, remove metal or conductive objects such as jewellery (necklaces, bracelets, rings, etc.). A short circuit may cause a fire or explosion.
- Never charge the battery immediately after the vehicle has been moved from a cold to a warm room. This may generate condensation, which can cause the product to malfunction or damage the interior components. Allow the product to reach room temperature before charging the battery.c

c) Charging the drive battery
Refer to the information in sections 6 and 7. Numerous hazards are associated
with the improper handling of the drive battery and the battery charger.
The drive battery supplied is empty when the product is shipped and must be
charged. Before the drive battery can deliver its maximum power, several
complete discharge and charge cycles must be completed.
You do not need to discharge partially charged Li-ion batteries before
charging. However, to ensure maximum performance, ensure that the battery is
regularly discharged and then fully charged again.
The vehicle comes with a USB charger to charge the drive battery. Use a
suitable USB power adapter (not included) to power the USB charger. This must
be able to deliver an output current of at least 1 A.
Do not connect the USB charger to a computer USB port, as these normally
deliver a current of less than 1 A.
Proceed as follows:
-
Connect the USB plug on the USB charger to the USB power supply (e.g. a USB power adapter).
-
Then, connect the 2-pin connector at the end of the USB charger to the socket on the drive battery.
-
The LED in the USB charger indicates the charging progress:

FPV mode
a) General Information
The vehicle comes with a camera (attached to the roof) that can transmit live
video to a suitable smartphone (not included) via WiFi. Pictures and videos
are taken using an app installed on your smartphone. Pictures or videos can be
stored and edited on your smartphone. The live video transmission enables you
to use the vehicle in ‘FPV mode’ (‘FPV’ = first-person view). The camera can
be moved up/down by hand.
The vehicle can be controlled both with the enclosed transmitter and directly
in the app.
Warning!
Pure FPV operation increases the risk of accidents as you may not see
obstacles or may not see them in time due to the restricted camera image. As a
general rule, when using FPV mode, the vehicle must be monitored by a co-pilot
who can warn you about potential hazards. Driving the vehicle in FPV mode
requires practice.
To ensure interference-free transmission of video signals, there should be no
other transmitters in the model’s 2.4 GHz transmission range nearby. The
smartphone’s Bluetooth® function must be disabled.
b) Installing the app
A smartphone app is required to use FPV mode. The only costs incurred will be
the normal costs incurred through downloading. The app itself is free.
- Open the respective app store on your smartphone. If you are using Android™, open Google Play. If you are using an Apple device, open Apple’s App Store.

Troubleshooting
This model was built using the latest technology. However, faults and
malfunctions may still occur. The following section shows you how to
troubleshoot potential problems.
The model does not respond or respond incorrectly.
-
The transmitter is automatically programmed to the receiver with this vehicle. This process is known as ‘binding’ or ‘pairing’.
Ensure that there are no other similar vehicles in the vicinity, otherwise, the transmitter will not be able to determine the correct vehicle. Switch the vehicle off, then switch the transmitter off. If the LED indicator on the transmitter switches off and the LED in the vehicle stays constant, this indicates that the transmitter and vehicle are connected and ready for use. Once this step is complete you can connect the next vehicle/transmitter. -
Are the batteries in the transmitter flat? Replace the batteries in the transmitter with new ones. For safety reasons, we recommend using disposable batteries for the transmitter rather than rechargeable batteries.
-
Is the drive battery fully charged? Charge the drive battery.
-
Is the vehicle too far away? With a full drive battery and full batteries in the transmitter, a transmission range of up to 25 m should be possible. However, this can be reduced by outside influences, such as interference on the radio frequency or the proximity of other transmitters (not only remote control transmitters but also WiFi/Bluetooth® devices that also use a transmission frequency of 2.4 GHz), metallic parts, etc.
Walls or furniture between the transmitter and vehicle (e.g. when the vehicle is driven in FPV mode indoors) significantly reduce the range. -
For safety reasons, the vehicle engine switches off automatically when there is no transmitter signal.
-
You can control the vehicle with the transmitter or the app (forwards/reverse/left/right). You can use the app to choose whether you want to control the vehicle with the transmitter or the app.
The vehicle stops suddenly
- Undervoltage protection was activated and the drive battery is depleted. Replace the drive battery with a new, fully charged drive battery (before inserting a new battery, wait at least 5 – 10 minutes to allow the engine and electronic components in the vehicle to cool down).
- The receiver in the vehicle is not receiving a signal from the transmitter and the engine was switched off for safety reasons. The vehicle is too far from the transmitter, the transmitter batteries are weak/depleted or the transmitter was switched off.
The vehicle does not travel in a straight line
- Calibrate the steering wheel (see Section 8. f). It is normal for the vehicle to deviate slightly from a straight line.
- Check whether the tires are mounted correctly on the rims and/or check whether they might have come loose while the vehicle was moving.
The vehicle does not steer properly or the steering angle is too low.
- Check the steering components for loose parts or damage.
- Check whether there are leaves or small stones in the steering components.
The battery life is very short.
- Charge the drive battery or use a new, fully charged battery.
The drive battery heats up when it is charging and when the vehicle is moving
- This is normal.
There was interference when the video signal was transmitted.
-
Is the vehicle too far away? With a full drive battery, a transmission range of up to 25 m should be possible. However, this can be reduced considerably by outside influences, such as interference in the radio frequency or the proximity of other transmitters (not only remote control transmitters but also WiFi/Bluetooth® devices that also use a transmission frequency of 2.4 GHz), metallic parts, etc.
Walls or furniture between the transmitter and vehicle (e.g. when the vehicle is driven in FPV mode indoors) significantly reduce the range. -
The position of the camera antenna relative to the smartphone in the smartphone holder has a significant impact on the range.
Care and cleaning
The vehicle and transmitter must be switched off before cleaning or
maintenance.
After you have finished using the vehicle, remove all dust and dirt (e.g.
using a clean long-haired brush). Compressed-air sprays can also help to
remove dirt.
Do not use cleaning aerosols or conventional household cleaners. These may
damage the electronic components and discolor the plastic parts or the body.
Never wash the vehicle with a garden hose or a high-pressure cleaner.
A soft, slightly dampened cloth can be used to wipe the body. Do not rub too
hard, as this may result in scratch marks.
➔ Check the vehicle for any signs of damage before and after each use. If
there are any signs of damage, discontinue use immediately.
