INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
M SERIES PANEL MOUNT CONNECTOR
M3P.2
Installation couplers:
- Are to be fully engaged; with no significant gap, and the retaining clip latched as shown –
- Are to be engaged and dis-engaged without load only.
- Are not suitable for readily accessible areas.
- Are not to be considered as a replacement for the plug and socket outlet systems complying with AS/NZS 3112, AS/NZS 3123 and AS/NZS 61535.1
- Are not to be placed under excessive strain; in case of doubt, fix cable and couplers.
- Are to be placed to distribute the load between outlets as evenly as possible ensuring that the sum of all loads does not overload the input coupler and cable.
- Are to be installed, connected, and tested in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 (Australian/New Zealand Wiring Rules & Regulations).
- Dangerous compatibility between different coupler systems is not automatically prevented by the couplers compliance with AS/NZS 61535.1
DO NOT INSERT TEST PROBES LARGER THAN 0.8MM WIDE AS IT WILL DAMAGE THE
CONTACTS
Test plugs are supplied with the starter sockets. Additional test plugs are
available free of charge, by contacting our sales team.
- Insert connector socket into Panel cut-out. Ensure correct location of the connector against notch in the panel. Push Tab grooves of Socket Connector into panel cut-out
- Insert Sleeve from top and engage with socket. Ensure Sleeve Tab “clicks”
- Strip cables to 12mm length. Insert a Ø3mm flat screwdriver or smaller into the screwdriver slot to open the clamp. Insert the wire into the adjacent slot while the clamp is open. Release the screwdriver to secure the wire in the clamp.
- Secure the cables with a cable tie as shown.
- Connect a lead with M3.1 connector to the M3P panel mount connector.
**** WIRING CONNECTIONS SHALL BE INSIDE THE PANEL AND NOT ACCESSIBLE TO THE USER POST INSTALLATION
