  • Assemble product according to manufacturer’s instructions for any of the uses (bedside sleeper or bassinet).
  • Do not use the bassinet/bedside sleeper if any parts are missing, damaged, or broken.
  • Contact Dream On Me Inc. for replacement parts and instructional literature if needed. Do not substitute parts.
  • FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE WARNINGS AND THE INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU CANNOT EXACTLY FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT COME WITH IT. THIS PRODUCT SHOULD BE FULLY ASSEMBLED PRIOR TO USE.

SUFFOCATION HAZARD:

Infants have suffocated:

  • In gaps between extra padding and side of the bassinet.
  • On soft bedding. Use only the pad provided by Dream On Me, never add a pillow, comforter or any other mattress for padding.
  • If a sheet is used with the pad, use only the one provided by Dream On Me or one specifically designed to fit the dimension of the mattress pad.
  • Never leave the infant in the bassinet with sides down unless it is securely positioned in the sleeper mode attached to the adult bed with anchors securely in the place.
  • To reduce the risk of SIDS(SUDDEN INFANT DEATH SYNDROME), pediatricians recommend healthy infants to be placed on their backs to sleep, unless otherwise advised by your physician.
  • Placing additional items in the product may cause suffocation.
  • Do not use more than one mattress in the product.

ENTRAPMENT HAZARD:

  • To prevent death from entrapment, Bedside Sleeper must be properly secured to adult bed using the attachment system.
  • There must be no more than ½ inch (13mm) gap between bedside sleeper and adult bed.
  • Check tightness before each use by pulling bedside sleeper in a direction away from adult bed.
  • If gap exceeds 1/2 inch (13mm) DO NOT use product. DO NOT fill the gap with pillows, blankets or other items that can cause suffocation.
  • Always read and follow assembly instructions for each product use (bedside sleeper or bassinet).
  • Please use ALL the required parts for each use (bedside sleeper or bassinet).
  • Ensure all fittings of the bassinet are tightened properly.
  • Do not use the body of the bassinet/cradle without its frame.
  • The height of the bassinet/bedside sleeper can’t be inclined in different positions and
    they should be in the same height positions. In order to adjust the height, pull the adjustment lever sides upwards.

FALL HAZARD:

  • A bassinet is designed to provide a sleeping area for an infant until he or she begins to push up on hands and knees or can roll over, or has reached 25lbs, whichever comes first, which is about 5 months of age.
  • Once the child is able to sit, kneel, or pull themselves up, stop using the product.
  • Please use all required parts for each use mode (bedside sleeper or bassinet).
  • The bassinet/cradle must always be placed on a horizontal floor.
  • Young children should not be allowed to play unsupervised in the vicinity of the bassinet/cradle.
  • The bassinet/cradle should be locked in the fixed position when a child is unsupervised in it.
  •  Check the instruction manual for a list of required parts.
  • Periodically, check the product for loose, damaged, or missing parts. DO NOT use the product if any part is missing, loose or if any signs of damage are visible. DO NOT substitute parts.
  • Contact Dream On Me Inc. if replacement parts or instructions are needed.
  • In Bassinet Mode, make sure that the side panel is locked.
  • Strings can cause strangulation. NEVER place the product near window blinds or patio doors with cords where a child could reach and be strangled, or hang strings over the product or place items with a string around an infant’s neck or attach strings to toys.
  • DO NOT place any cord or strap or similar items in or near this product that could get wrapped around a child’s neck.
  • Strings can cause strangulation. DO NOT place anything with a string around a child’s neck, such as hood strings or pacifier cords. DO NOT suspend strings over a bassinet or cradle or attach strings to toys.
  • Check that your product doesn’t contain loose screws or any other parts that might injure a child or catch or trap his or her clothing (ribbons, strings, necklaces etc.) and thus cause strangulation.

SUFFOCATION, ENTRAPTION, AND FALL HAZARDS:

  • To use the bassinet mode, ALWAYS raise the side with the zipper to completely close up all 4 sides.
  • ALWAYS push the adult mattress against the bedside sleeper after securing to the bed with a safety strap and fixing the buckles.
  • NEVER leave the infant in the bassinet with the sides down.
  • The bedside sleeper is for adult beds between 14.17-18.5 inches (36-47 cm) from floor to top of the adult mattress.
  • Fixing or attaching the buckles and straps to the adult bed must ALWAYS be done in bedside sleeper mode. Product in bedside sleeper mode must be securely attached to adult bed mattresses to ensure safe use.
  • It is recommended to make the straps shorter than the width of the mattress to ensure the bedside sleeper is pressed securely and tightly against the adult bed, without any gaps.
  • A bedside sleeper is designed to provide a sleeping area for an infant until he or she begins to push up on hands and knees or can roll over, or has reached 25lbs, whichever comes first. Move your child to another sleeping product when your child reaches this stage.
  • DO NOT use the bedside sleeper if any parts are missing, damaged, or broken. Contact Dream On Me for replacement parts and instructions.
  • DO NOT substitute parts.

IMPORTANT FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILD:

  • The side support of the bedside sleeper should always be placed close to the adult mattress.
  • The mattress should always be aligned with the height of the side support of the cosleeper.
  • The bedside sleeper should be firmly fixed to the structure of the adult bed or the mattress support.
  • Check to make sure that the bedside sleeper in the bedside sleeper mode does not interfere with the adult bed.
  • During use, make sure that the adult bed sheets, blankets, etc, do not enter the bedside sleeper and cover the interior of the bedside sleeper. This can cause suffocation.
  • In the bedside sleeper mode, the legs of the bedside sleeper should always be adjusted to the same height.
  • There is a risk of burning cigarettes, open fires, or other sources of strong heat, such as electric bar fires, gas fires, etc., in the vicinity of the bassinet.

BEDSIDE SLEEPER MODE WARNINGS:

  • Ensure that the fixing buckles are straight and not loose.
  • When the bedside sleeper is attached/tied to the bed, the actual bassinet must remain straight and not lopsided. If the bassinet is not straight/flat, contact our customer service immediately for help.
  • The attachment must always be used in bedside sleeper mode.
  • Before every use, check to ensure that there is no space between the adult mattress and the side of the bedside sleeper. If there is, pull the belts firmly to tighten until there’s no space.
  • Use of the product is permitted only for a bed or mattress with straight sides. Do not use the product with a round mattress or a water bed.
  • When the product is used in the bedside sleeper mode, it should always be fitted to the length of the bed. Do not fix the product on the short side of the bed.
  • The removal and/or application operations may take a few minutes and should be carried out by an adult.
  • The images below explain the acceptable and unacceptable bed and mattress to be used along with the bassinet in bedside sleeper mode.
  • Acceptable bed frame in-line: The mattress, box-spring and bed frame are aligned to each other.
  • Non-acceptable bed frame: The mattress, box-spring and bed frame are not in line.

BASSINET ASSEMBLY

1a. The Bassinet Body (A) should be placed flat on a horizontal surface such that the legs of the bassinet are on top.
1b. As shown in the illustration, open the legs and swing them outwards to stand the bassinet on the floor.

2a. Lift the bassinet cradle and install the Mattress Support Frame (B) in the slotted insertions provided on the bassinet body as shown in the illustration.
2b. The bassinet cradle is lowered onto the Mattress Support Frame and secured by wrapping the hook and loop strap around the lower bar.

3a. Align the Leg Brace (C) to the slotted insertions on the lower sections of the bassinet legs.
3b. Install the Leg Brace in the insertions provided on the front end of the legs until you hear a click.
3c. Repeat for the second Leg Brace by aligning it to the slotted insertions on the back end of the bassinet legs.

4a. Place the Mattress Pad (E) on the base of the bassinet cradle as shown in the illustration.

BEDSIDE SLEEPER ASSEMBLY

1a. To convert the bassinet to a bedside sleeper, unzip the sides of the bassinet cradle.
1b. Pull back the unzipped material to reveal the top rail buttons. Engage both spring pins while gently pulling on the top horizontal rail as shown in the illustration until the rail detached.
1c. Remove the rail and secure the unzipped fabric into the bedside when using it with an adult bed.
1d. Use the elastic loop to hold the tube, so that the tube cannot go down.

2a. The bassinet/bedside sleeper can be adjusted to different height positions.
2b. In order to adjust the height, press the height adjuster button on both sides of the bassinet/bedside sleeper and either lift up or push down to get to the desired position.

3a. The bedside sleeper is designed for use with adult beds that are between 14.17 – 18.5 inches (36 – 47 cm) from floor to top of adult bed base.
3b. To fix the bedside sleeper to the adult bed, remove the mattress from the bed.
3c. Move the bedside sleeper closer to the bed to check the height of the bedside sleeper. The height of the bedside sleeper should be equal to the mattress on the adult bed.
3d. The unzipped side of the bedside sleeper should be secured into the adult bedside.
3e. Use the Anchor Plate Straps (D) to fix the bedside sleeper to the adult bed. The binding system must be in a horizontal state when installed on the bottom frame of the adult bed.
3f. Pass the straps under the mattress by pulling belts firmly until the straps are in the correct position as shown in the illustration.
3g. Tighten the harness of the anchor plate straps until it clicks into place.

MAINTENANCE

  • To prolong the life of your co-sleeper, keep it clean and do not leave in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.

  • Always store your product in a clean dry place.

  • Do not allow the product to come into contact with sand or salt water; sand causes corrosion and salt water results in the formation of rust.

  • In some climates, the covers and trims may be affected by mold and mildew. To help prevent this occurring, do not fold or store the product if it is damp, always store the product in a well ventilated area.

  • To maintain the safety of your nursery product, seek prompt service for bent, torn, worn or broken parts.

  • Use the parts provided by the manufacturer, Dream On Me Inc.

  • Regularly check parts for tightness of screws, nuts and other fasteners. Tighten as and when required.

  • On a regular basis, check the condition of the product for any possible damage. In case of damage, do not use it and keep it out of the reach of children.

  • For washing of the fabric, carefully comply with instructions indicated on the label.
    Allow it to dry completely before folding or storing it away.

  • For cleaning, do not use solvents, abrasive or aggressive products.

  • Periodically check the resistance of the fabric and of the stitching.
