rough-in plate flush to the stud’s surface or install a single gang
junction box to the stud.
Make sure the control cable is accessible and protected from
damage.
Step 2: Cut Hole in Wall Board and Tile
Cut a 1-3/8 (35mm) diameter hole in the wall board and tile to
match the rough-in plate and foam. Leave the foam in place while
finishing the wall and tile. Once the cutout is in the desired
position, remove the rough-in foam.
Step 3: Apply Silicone Caulk and Install Control
Run a bead of 100% silicone caulk around the tube on the back of
the control. Connect the cable to the control and insert the
control’s tube into the mounting hole. Press firmly against the
wall and tape securely in place.
Step 4: Connect Cable and Mount Control
Connect cable to the control ensuring a firm connection. Insert
the control’s tube into the mounting hole, press firmly against the
wall, and tape securely in place using painter’s tape. Leave in
place until silicone has cured.

After silicone has cured, remove tape. The installation is now
complete, and the control is ready to use.

K-SERIES CONTROL ROUGH-IN INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Determine the desired location of the control and secure the rough-in
plate flush to the stud’s surface or install a single gang junction box to the
stud and use the rough-in plate as a front cover.
Throughout the following steps, make sure the control cable is kept accessible
and protected from damage. It will be needed later to connect the control.
Step 2: Cut a 1-3/8″ (35mm) diameter hole in the wall board and tile to match
the rough-in plate and foam. Leave the foam in place while finishing the wall
and tile or finish the wall surface over the rough-in plate and up to the
rough-in foam. Once you have the cutout for the tile in the desired position,
remove the rough-in foam and discard it.
Step 3: Run a bead of 100% silicone caulk around the tube on the back of the
control. Make sure there is enough to fill any grout lines and that the
silicone is far enough from the edges to remain hidden after mounting to the
wall. Note- If using optional trim ring (K2 control only), install trim ring
over the back of control first.
