Getting Started

Step 1. Place the security camera and mobile phone within the radius of 1-3 feet of the router.

Note:

• Make sure the phone is connected to the router wirelessly.
• Camera is operating only at 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Step 2. Scan the QR code to download and install Prolink “mEzee” app, or search for it in Google Play or App Store.

Camera Setup

Adding camera device to mobile app

• Step 1. Power on the camera with the 5V 1A DC Power Adapter.
• Step 2. Create an account or login to your account on the mEzee App.
• Step 3. Tap “Add Device” or “+” on the top right corner of the screen to add. DS-3106 icon will be auto-discovered and tap Add (Ensure you enable BT function for quick configuration). Alternatively, tap DS-3106 to start configuration.
• Step 4. Follow the in-app instructions until the camera is connected to the Wi-Fi network successfully. Upon successful connection, you will see an “Added Successfully” screen with voice prompt “Wi-Fi connection successful”

Positioning camera device

• i) The camera could be placed on any flat surface or mounted on the ceiling.
• ii) To mount the camera on the ceiling:
  • Fasten the mounting bracket with screw provided on the ceiling.
  • Slot the camera into the mounting bracket.
• iii) For ceiling mount camera, rotate the inverted camera image by launching the mEzee app and tap”…” at the top right-hand corner. Next, tap on “Basic Function Settings” followed by “Flip Screen” to enable it.

Note:

• For physical placement, please do consider the router’s wireless coverage. You may use another 2.4GHz Wi-Fi device at the intended location to test the Wi-Fi coverage and stability prior installing the camera.
• Please ensure that the mobile phone is connected to the Wi-Fi’s 2.4GHz Wi-Fi during the setup.

microSD Card Storage (Optional)

Insert a microSD Card into the slot to enable the recording function.

How to insert a microSD card

• Step 1. Power off the camera.
• Step 2. Manually tilt the camera lens upwards until it reaches its maximum tilt angle.

Step 3. Follow the steps below to select your preferred recording mode:

(a) Event Recording (default) – Please enable motion detection to use this mode.

Camera Settings

1. Tap to set the camera name, icon and camera location.

2. Tap to display Device Information such as Public IP Address, Device ID, Time Zone, Wi-Fi Signal Strength.

3. Tap to run the scenes or automation.

4. Toggle to enable Private Mode (Turn off the camera display on app).

5. Tap to set Basic Function Settings such as Flip Screen, Time Watermark and Talk Mode (i.e., one way or two-way talk).

   • Tap to set the camera name. icon and camera location.
   • Tap to display Device Information such as Public IP Address, Device ID, Time Zone, Wi-Fi Signal Strength.

6. Night Mode:

   • Auto – Day Time – Default colour mode
   • Night Time – IR mode (Black & White)
   • Off – Always in default colour mode
   • On – Always in IR Mode (Black & White)

7. Tap to set Detection Alarm such as Motion Detection and Auto Tracking, Alarm Sensitivity Level, Activity Area, Human Body Filtering, Sound Detection and Schedule etc.

   • High – long distance
   • Low – close distance
   • b. Surveillance Area Setting : Set the motion detect zone.
   • c. Human BodyFiltering: Alarm will go off when the human shape is detected.
   • d. Motion Tracking: Auto tracks people or moving object.
   • e. Sound Detection: Enable notification when sound is detected.
   • f. Schedule : Add a schedule to enable the detection mechanism.

9. Toggle to receive notifications when security camera is offline.

FAQs

How can I share the camera access with family and friends within same country?

How many cameras can I control?

The mEzee app can control up to 200 smart home devices including cameras for multiple locations. However, your router may have a limitation on the number of devices connected to it.

How do I rename the camera?

What should I do when my camera appears offline or undetected?

What should I do if I am unable to connect my camera due to the location of my router?

You may consider adding a Prolink Wi-Fi Extender to enhance and extend the Wi- Fi coverage.

Can I use the camera if my Internet is down?

Yes, camera with micro SD card can still record even in the absence of the Internet. However, camera must be connected to Internet to enjoy full features (i.e. view live footage, receive motion detection alerts and etc).
