QUICK REFERENCE SETUP GUIDE for: USBC PLAY-2 CD PLAYER Compatible formats (.WMA or .WAV)

The USB CD player is a conversion unit that is designed to communicate with the applicable vehicles USB processing HUB. Each processing HUB in your vehicles has a buffered memory, which is designed to hold a small amount of information from the media file to ensure smooth playback. It is important to understand this process and how it works to ensure full customer satisfaction and proper operation.

PLEASE REFER TO THE VEHICLE FIT GUIDE

PLEASE REFER TO THE VEHICLE FIT GUIDE TO MAKE SURE YOUR VEHICLE IS COMPATIBLE.

STEP 1: Connect unit to the USB port delegated for data and not for only phone charging.

STEP 2: Confirm the radio is in the ON position then proceed to select USB1 or USB2 on your radio (depending on which port you occupy).

NOTE: THE UNIT MAY NOT BE FOUND BY THE FACTORY RADIO UNTIL A CD HAS BEEN INSERTED INTO THE PLAYER. THIS CAN TAKE 10-20 seconds once the disc is inserted.

STEP 3: Once the disc is inserted you will need to wait at least 15 seconds for the USB HUB in the vehicle to acquire the CD information completely. This process is called INDEXING. Although the CD has begun playing, you MUST wait for the INDEXING to complete to avoid potential issues. NOTE: if this process is interrupted in any way, erratic playback can take place such as skipping songs or cutting off songs. Some USB HUB’s are sensitive to this procedure. If you have interrupted it, simply remove the disc you are attempting to play and insert an entirely new/different disc. This will reset the vehicles USB HUB memory and allow a fresh start. You MUST ensure all the STEPS are followed to avoid any problems.

STEP 4: Once the full conversion is completed, you can proceed to operate the CD player thru the factory radio normally.
