IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
WARNING: When using electrical equipment, always adhere to basic safety precautions including the following: This product must be installed in accordance with the applicable installation code by a person familiar with the construction and operation of the product and the hazards involved.
READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Disconnect Power
- Always disconnect power during installation and maintenance.
- Remove Top Plate
- Loosen the screws (do not remove) in the top of the housing. Twist off the cover.
- Mounting
Stem Mount – Minimum stem length
E3: 3/8″ to 3/4″ Stem
- Thread the stem into the hub
- Tighten the set screw.
Cable Suspension E3 Series:
- To install with cable suspension follow the instructions provided with the kit.
Note: The fixture must be ordered with provision for cable suspension
Connect Wires
Incandescent
- Connect lamp-holder leads to the appropriate 120V leads
Integral Driver LED
- Check line voltage. Fixtures for 120V through 277V use auto sensing multi voltage drivers. Fixtures for 327V or 480V are furnished with transformer to bring voltage down to 277V.
- Connect leads to proper voltage
For All Light Sources
- Attach the leads using approved connectors
- Individually cap all unused leads.
Integral Ballast (Electronic – Compact Fluorescent
- Check Voltage
- Luminaire may be furnished with single voltage or auto sensing multi-voltage ballast.
- Connect leads to proper voltage
Remote Ballast Compact Fluorescent
Single Lamp
- Connect leads to the ballast secondary.
Multiple Lamp – “Plug & Play”
- Attach the stem to the remote ballast assembly.
- Attach the mounting plate ① to the stem.
- Push the wires up the stem, then follow the instructions supplied with the remote ballast to plug the color coded wires into the compact fluorescent ballast.
- Connect the wiring harness supplied with the luminaire ② to the ballast assembly as illustrated.
- Attach luminaire to the mounting plate ① and tighten the screws.
Hang Luminaire
- Mount luminaire on the cover plate and tighten screws.
Install Lamp(s) (Incandescent and CFL only)
- Observe the lamp manufacturers recommendations and restrictions.
- Remove and install compact fluorescent lamps by grasping only the plastic portion of the lamp
Luminaires Ordered with Deco-Lens

To prevent breakage, the E3 Series Deco-Lens is shipped separately.

To install the Deco-Ring, insert the plastic washers above and below the glass lens and secure with the decorative thumb screws provided.
