Extinguishing instructions for Cosiscoop gas lanterns

If something goes wrong, it is important to stop the gas supply as soon as possible. Immediately turn the control button ‘OFF’ to stop the gas supply. In most cases, the flame will extinguish immediately. If there is a leak in the gas cartridge that prevents the flame from extinguishing, the flame can be extinguished with a fire blanket or a powder extinguisher. The fire blanket will allow you to extinguish the fire at an early stage. In addition, a powder extinguisher is suitable for extinguishing fires caused by propane/butane gas. NEVER extinguish with any other type of fire extinguisher or water.

Storage

  • Once fully cooled, and if the gas cartridge is completely empty, disconnect the appliance from the gas cartridge and store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place. CAUTION: If the gas cartridge still contains gas, DO NOT disconnect from the appliance.
  • Make sure you store your full gas cartridges in a safe, ventilated area away from ignition sources.

  • DO NOT modify the appliance.
  • If you suspect a gas leak or malfunction, stop using immediately and turn off the control valve. Have the appliance tested by a qualified person; please contact your supplying retailer for assistance.
  • If the appliance does not turn on or the effectiveness decreases, contact the seller.
