Product Usage Instructions
Intended Use
This accessory is designed to be used with a T11 plunge router and a
suitable Clamp Guide for routing parallel grooves in manmade boards and
natural timber with a compatible cutter. Use T11/VJS/CGKIT with VJS clamps and
T11/CG/KIT with CGS clamps.
Assembly
- Isolate the router from the power supply.
- Place the center bracket over the two tapped holes in the upper section of the T11 router base.
- Secure the bracket using the two machine screws and hex key provided in the kit.
- Ensure the component is clamped securely before use.
Environmental Protection
Recycle raw materials instead of disposing of them as waste. Sort accessories
and packaging for environmentally friendly recycling. At the end of its life,
the product and its accessories should be sorted for environmental-friendly
recycling.

INTENDED USE

natural timber with a suitable cutter fitted.

ASSEMBLY
Isolate router from power supply before fitting the accessory kit.
Locate the centre bracket over the two tapped holes in the upper section of the T11 router base. Secure the bracket using the two machine screws & hex key.

OPERATION
Slide the centre block and nylon guide together so they touch and then open up to about 5mm. Tighten the thumb knobs to lock the assembly together. Measure and mark position for the slot or groove. Mark second line 115mm for CGS and 102mm for VJS/CG away from this line, this is the offset. Position clamp guide so that inside edge of the clamp is on the offset line.
Fitted to CGS
Fitted to VJS/CG
- Use a square to square up the clamp guide on the component. Secure clamp onto component.
- Place the router with the accessory fitted so that the nylon block sits over the centre T slot of the clamp guide system or an outside edge on VJS/CG.
- Set the cutter depth, by plunging down until cutter touches work piece, lock plunge and the set cutter height on depth scale.
- Release plunge slightly to raise cutter by about 1mm.
- Loosen the thumb knobs and adjust router position in or out so that the cutter edge is correct to cut line.
- The accessory has a maximum of 12mm adjustment.
- Once correct position is obtained lock thumb knobs.
- Release plunge.
- Switch on router, plunge down and move router assembly along clamp to the required groove length.
- At the end of the cut, release plunge and switch off router.
- Ensure working position is comfortable and component is clamped
Fitted to CGS
Fitted to VJS/CG
- Ensure the guide is not clamped onto the waste piece. The material being cut will need to be supported and clamped securely.
- Ensure all fixing screws are tight and do not foul the router. Always isolate router from power supply before making any adjustments.
If the slot needs to be made wider, isolate router, undo the two thumb knobs and pull the centre block and nylon guide apart by the required amount, then tighten the thumb knobs. After use remove the accessory from T11 router and store carefully.

MAINTENANCE
Please use only Trend original spare parts and accessories. The accessory has been designed to operate over a long period of time with minimum of maintenance. Continual satisfactory operation depends upon proper tool care and regular cleaning.
Ensure switch and machine is isolated from power supply before carrying out any:
- Cleaning
- Keep the grooves, threads and rods clear of sawdust and resin build up.
- Regularly clean with a soft cloth
- Lubrication
- Accessory requires no additional lubrication.
- Storage
- Always return product to its packaging after use.
Safety Points
- Disconnect power tool and attachment from power supply when not in use, before servicing, when making adjustments and when changing accessories such as cutters. Ensure switch is in “off” position and cutter has stopped rotating.
- Read and understand instructions supplied with power tool, attachment and cutter.
- Current Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for eye, ear and respiratory protection must be worn. Keep hands, hair and clothes clear of the cutter.
- Before each use check cutter is sharp and free from damage. Do not use if cutter is dull, broken or cracked or if any damage is noticeable or suspected.
- The maximum speed (nmax) marked on tool or in instructions or on packaging shall not be exceeded. Where stated, the speed range should be adhered to.
- Insert the shank into the router collet at least all the way to the marked line indicated on the shank. This ensures at least 3/4 of shank length is held in collet. Ensure clamping surfaces are clean.
- Check all fixing and fastening nuts, bolts and screws on power tool, attachment and cutting tools are correctly assembled, tight and to correct torque setting before use.
- Ensure all visors, guards and dust extraction is fitted.
- The direction of routing must always be opposite to the cutter’s direction of rotation.
- Do not switch power tool on with the cutter touching the workpiece.
- Trial cuts should be made in waste material before starting any project.
- Repair of tools is only allowed according to tool manufacturers instructions.
- Do not take deep cuts in one pass, take shallow passes to reduce the side load applied to the cutter.
