Wall Preparation:
Hotwire Heating Vertical Rails can be fixed to all wall types. Ensure proper installation by following these steps:- If installing on a stud wall, make sure there are timber noggins for fixing.
- For cement or plasterboard walls, use high-weight-bearing fixings.

Electrical & Transformer Connection:
Follow these steps to wire your Vertical Rail through the transformer:- Vertical Rails are 12V and must be connected to the included transformer.
- Wiring can be done through the bottom foot or top foot if rotating the rail.

Mounting Brackets:
Mount the rail using the provided brackets:- Unscrew the grub screw using the Allen key to retrieve the bracket.
- Predrill holes for top and bottom bracket holes (8-10mm each).

Electrical Connections:
Connect the wires to the transformer following these steps:- Ensure power supply is switched off before starting.
- Feed cable through the bottom rail foot into the wall and connect to the transformer.
- If using multiple rails, stick with one transformer per rail.

Secure Rail:
Secure the rail in place by following these instructions:- Slide the feet of the rail over the brackets.
- Tighten the grub screws using the Allen key until flush with the foot of the towel rail.

Installation Guide
Please read these instructions carefully and in full before installation.
Installation Material & Fixing
Make sure power has been or will be run to rail install location. Speak to your electrician for confirmation.
Let’s make sure you have everything you need.
- Hotwire Heating Vertical Heated Towel Rail
- 12 Volt Transformer
- Included parts as follows
TECH & SPECS WARNING:
Hotwire Heating Vertical Rails must be wired to a transformer (which
you will find with your rail). Connecting directly to the mains power supply
will cause damage beyond repair and void all warranty to the element.
(The element inside the rail is not replaceable.)
WALL PREP
- Hotwire Heating Vertical Rails can be fixed to all wall types.
- If installation is to a stud wall please ensure there are timber noggins to fix the rails to. If fixing to cement or plaster board please use fixings with a high weight bearing rating to ensure proper and safe installation.
ELECTRICAL & TRANSFORMER
- All wiring and electrical work must be done by a licensed electrician. The 12V Transformer must be positioned in a dry location and is recommended to be in an accessible location. 2m is the maximum distance the transformer can be from the rail.
- A means for disconnection must be incorporated into the fixed wiring in accordance with AZ/NZS 3000:2000
- As the 12V heated towel rail uses low voltage, it can be placed anywhere in the bathroom. You can even place it in the shower area as long as the transformer and timers are placed in the correct location according to its IP rating.
- Please note your Vertical Rail can be wired through the bottom foot.
- If rotating the rail in 180 degree, the wiring could be done through the top foot.
- Hotwire Vertical Range are 12V and must be wired through the transformer included with the rail. The provided transformer will show an output once connected to a load and only then.
MOUNTING BRACKETS
- Inside the feet of the rail you will find the wall brackets required for mounting the rail. Use your provided Allen key to unscrew the grub screw and retrieve the bracket.
- Make sure to predrill holes for the mounting brackets
- Top bracket hole (8-10mm)
- Bottom bracket Hole (8-10mm)
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

Please make sure at this point that your power/electrical supply is switched off. Feed cable in bottom rail foot through the mounting bracket into the wall. Run cable to and connect wire to the transformer (which should be install prior to this point if not please refer to previous page) If you have multiple rails it is our recommendation that you stick with one transformer per rail.

SECURE RAIL
- Once the wire has been fed through the bracket and connected to the transformer. Slide the feet of your rail over the brackets and using your provided Allen key, tighten the grub screw found on the bottom side of each foot until flush with the foot of the towel rail.

SAFETY & LEGAL INFO
We strongly recommend that you install your rail rail 600m or higher from floor level to avoid it being a hazard for infants and toddlers.- Your Hotwire Heated Rail needs to be installed adhering to wet area guidelines (See page 5) the same for any towel rail timers or switches Please ensure each rail is protected by a properly rated RCD circuit
- If towels have been used for or come in contact with dry cleaning fluids, petroleum products or any oils do not place on your towel rail.
- Your Towel Rail will be hot to touch when turned on. Its purpose is to warm and dry towels. Due to this we recommend that people young and old that require help and supervision not be left alone near said rail.
- Do not immerse any Hotwire towel rail in any liquid.
- Please make sure that multiple rails connected to the transformers are wired in parallel to the switch/timer.
- Please ensure children are supervised around your towel rail.
