CAUTION: Only qualified personnel may use the DRK-2×6 flybar. Two people are needed to operate with this accessory. To prevent hazards to people, animals and/or objects, make sure that the installation is stable and secure. Follow the safety regulations and laws of the country in which you use the product. Install the product as described in these instructions. To use this accessory safely, check that it is working and intact before use. The warnings in this manual must be observed in conjunction with the “USER MANUAL – Section 2.

FLOWN INSTALLATION

dB Technologies DRK 2x6 Flybar - FLOWN INSTALLATION

  1. The loudspeaker installation is possible only by using the SB-2×6 brackets (not included). Insert the brackets front joints in the flybar and fasten by inserting the snap pins in the indicated holes.
  2. Rotate the brackets rear joints inward and secure them to the flybar by inserting the snap pins into the holes indicated on the flybar label.dB Technologies DRK 2x6 Flybar - FLOWN INSTALLATION 2
  3. Depending on the pickup point used to suspend the flybar, the tilt angle and the maximum load change. Using the pickup point between 1 and 5 allows to hung up to 12 loudspeakers with a +8.5° tilt angle. Using the pickup point between 6 and 11 allows to hung up to 16 loudspeakers with a 0° tilt angle. Using the pickup point between 12 and 17 allows to hung up to 16 loudspeakers with a -4° tilt angle. Check the allowed configurations using the configuration software in the Software & Controller section of the dBTechnologies website.

*The maximum load is according to EUROCODE 3 (EN 1993-1-1). According to BGV-C1, the maximum load is half than EUROCODE 3 (EN 1993-1-1). The maximum load value is also indicated on the configuration software in the Software & Controller section of the dBTechnologies website.

FLYBAR SETUP FOR STACK INSTALLATION

  1. Tighten the C bracket in the dedicated hole on the subwoofer.
  2. Place the flybar on the subwoofer with the feet downward.
  3. Unscrew the knob and adjust the bracket to make it lean on the flybar, then screw the knob to secure the flybar to the subwoofer. This way, the flybar will stay more stable without moving.

STACKED INSTALLATION

  1. Turn the loudspeaker upside down (with the joints facing the flybar), then insert the front joints in the flybar and secure by inserting the snap pins into the indicated holes.
  2. Rotate the brackets rear joints inward and secure them to the flybar by inserting the snap pins into the dedicated holes depending on the tilt angle, as indicated on the flybar label.dB Technologies DRK 2x6 Flybar - STACKED INSTALLATION 2
  3. The maximum load for a stacked configuration is an array of n.6 loudspeakers, please refer to SB-2×6 brackets user manual for the loudspeaker assembling.
