Download and Setup
- Download the free `Tuya Smart’ App from the Google Play store or App store.
- Create an account using a common email address to allow multiple users access.
- Ensure your device is connected to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is turned on.
Pairing the Device
- Open the app and click on ‘Add Device’.
- If the Vape Detector does not appear, ensure it is switched on and near you. Press the networking key for 5 seconds to re-enter pairing mode.
- Once the device appears, click ‘Add’.
Device Configuration
- Customize the alarm notification threshold by accessing the ‘Settings’ tab on the vape detector status page.
- Enable ‘Offline Notification’ to receive tamper and offline notifications.
- Rename the device by clicking on the pen icon for better organization if multiple detectors are installed.

Create an account on the app using a common email address, therefore multiple users can log in and see the device status and receive notifications.

Once logged in, click on “add device”.
(Please ensure you are connected to 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is switched on)
Quick Start guide -
The Vape Detector device should appear on ‘Add Device’ screen. Click Add.
(If not, ensure the vape detector is switched on and you are near the device, hold the networking key in the networking hole for 5 seconds to re-enter pairing mode).

The device should now download onto your app, click ‘Done’ once finished.

The device is now ready to detect vape! You can set the alarm notification threshold by clicking the ‘Settings’ tab on the vape detector status page. Ensure the notifications sliders are in the ‘on’ position to receive all alarm notifications. Your phone/tablet may have its own permissions in device settings, these settings must be set to ‘Receive all notifications’ from the Tuya Smart App.

Ensure ‘Offline Notification’ is switched on to receive tamper and offline notifications. You can rename the device by clicking on the pen icon, this is useful if multiple vape detectors are installed in one building.
