Instructions for connecting
AC•THOR / AC•THOR
9s / AC ELWA 2
with IME Conto D4 Modbus MID
AC-THOR IME Conto D4 Modbus MID
If the RS485 communication connection on the meter is still being used by
other devices, communication with my-PV will not be possible!
A connection with the AC ELWA-E is not possible as it does not have Modbus RTU
(RS485) communication!
Default settings on my-PV device
Before commissioning, please read the installation instructions supplied with
the device as well as the operating instructions available online.
Find the AC•THOR operation manual here.
Find the AC ELWA 2 operation manual here.
We recommend installing the latest firmware on the AC-THOR via the Internet
before installation. IME is stored as a signal source from firmware version
a0020708.
Communication with IME Conto D4
The combination with IME was tested by my-PV with IME Conto D4 Modbus MID.
According to IME, these types are compatible:
- CE4TBDTMID
- CE4TBDTCL1
- CE4DF3DTMID
- CE4DF3DTCL1
The my-PV device is connected directly to the meter via three-pole Modbus RTU
cabling.
Use a shielded twisted pair cable and connect the shield to earth (GND) at one
end!
RTU gateway should be equipped with a 120 Ohm terminating resistor!
When controlled via Modbus RTU, M7 operating mode cannot be used with the
AC•THOR!
Three pins on the 8-pin connector of the AC•THOR are the Modbus RTU communication connection. The 120 Ohm terminating resistor is not included with the AC THOR!
On the AC ELWA 2, the connection is identified by RS485, A, B, GND.
The communication connection on the top of the IME Conto D4 Modbus MID test
device looks like this (yellow highlighted).
Settings on IME Conto D4
In the setup of the IME meter, the Modbus ID (“Address”) may need to be set to 005 and the baud rate to 19.2 kbit/s so that the communication matches the my- PV default settings.
Settings on my-PV
In the control settings “IME C. D4 MID (Modb RTU)” must be selected.
Alternatively, these settings can also be made on the web interface. To do
this, the my-PV device must also be integrated into the local network.
If there is a ESS/battery in the system and this is to be charged as a
priority, then the “control target” should be set to -150 W. Otherwise, we
recommend leaving it at -50 W
