Product Usage Instructions

Installation

  1. Identify the Propel Panel blade and locate 3 empty lanes.
  2. Take the Propel ULL Multimode OM5 MPO-8 Mesh Module and align it with the empty lanes on the Propel Panel blade.
  3. Insert the module into the panel until it securely locks in place.

Fiber Cabling Management
The module simplifies mesh network fiber cabling management by replacing a series of array cables internally. It takes 4 MPO8 ports from 4 different switches on the rear and assigns a pair from each to each of the 4 MPO8 ports on the front.

Software Managed Routing
The module also facilitates software managed routing within the mesh network. It allows for efficient routing of data between different switches connected to the module.

Front Panel Connections
To connect devices to the front panel of the module:

  1. Take 4 standard MPO8 ULL patch cords.
  2. Connect one end of each patch cord to each of the 4 separate switches.
  3. Connect the other end of each patch cord to the MPO8 ports on the front of the module.

Removal

  1. If you need to remove the module, make sure to power off all connected devices and switches.
  2. Release the locking mechanism of the module from the Propel Panel blade.
  3. Gently pull the module out of the panel.
