CHW01P EVVR Energy Monitoring Smart Relay
Thank you for purchasing the EVVR Energy Monitoring Smart Relay 20A.
This Relay, which supports a maximum current of 20 A, is designed to make
almost any conventional home appliances smart. It is HomeKit-enabled, allowing
you to effortlessly manage appliances connected over your iPhone. The Relay
can continuously monitor appliances’ electricity usage, and you can check
such information on the EVVR app. The EVVR app also provides other features,
such as scheduled power-on and -off, conditional power-on and -off, and
firmware update.
Safety Precautions

To avoid electric shock, DO NOT splash water on the device or touch the Switch Button with wet hands.

Turn off the power at the AC mains before wiring.

Improper use or improper installation can cause damage/loss of property, injury, or even fatal accidents.

This product is intended for indoor use only.

Metal casings, mirrors, electrical appliances, etc., may affect, reduce, or interfere with wireless communication.

Part Names
Indicator Light Status
- Blue blinking (continuous): The Relay is in the setup mode.
- Blue blinking (3 blinks): The Button is disabled.
- Blue steady: The Relay works normally.
- Red blinking (continuous): Wi-Fi is unavailable.
- Red blinking (2 blinks): The Relay is restored to factory settings.
- Red blinking (3 blinks): The Relay is overloaded or exceeds the temperature limit.
- Red steady: The Relay is not paired.
Wiring
For your safety, we recommend that you ask a professional electrician for help
installing this Relay.
For appliances that have three wires (live, neutral & ground wires):

Turn off the power at the AC mains.

Cut the power cable connecting the appliance into two segments. Strip each segment to expose 10 mm of each of the three wires. Then, identify the live wire, neutral wire, and the ground wire.

Open the exterior case of the Relay.

Connect the wires of the power cable to the Relay as follows, and fasten the wires with screws.

Fasten the exterior case with two T4screws and the screwdriver.

Connect the plug to the AC mains.
Turn on the power at the AC mains.
For appliances that have two wires (live & neutral wires, no ground wire), follow the preceding steps, but skip the connection of the ground wire.
Setup Instructions
iOS
- Open the Home app, tap “+”, and then tap Add Accessory.
- Locate and scan the setup code on the front page of this manual. Follow in-app instructions.
- Download the EVVR app from the Apple App Store (QR code below).
Android
- Download the EVVR app from Google Play Store (QR code below).
- Tap “+” and then Add Wi-Fi Device.
- Locate and scan the setup code on the front page of this manual. Follow in-app instructions.
Note: The setup mode will exit if there is no action performed in 10 minutes. To enter setup mode again, disconnect the Relay from power and connect it to power again.

Restore to Factory Settings
There are two methods to restore the Relay to factory settings:

Using Switch Button on the exterior of the plastic case
i. Disconnect the Relay from power.
ii. While pressing and holding the Button, reconnect the Relay to power.
iii. Keep holding the Button for another 10 seconds until the red LED blinks twice. -
Using Reboot Button on the interior of the plastic case
Press and hold Reboot Button for 5 seconds until the red LED blinks twice.
Troubleshooting
Q1. Smart Relay pairing failed.
- Move the Relay close to the Wi-Fi router.
- Restore the Relay to factory settings and try again.
Q2. Smart Relay cannot be controlled by Apple Home app.
- Ensure good network connectivity.
- Ensure that the Relay and your phone are in the same network.
