DESCRIPTION
INSTALLATION
Setup the main unit
- Plug in the USB cable
- When power is on, the LED indicators light up and then turn off in a few seconds.
- Reset the device by pressing and holding the control button (2) for 5 seconds. Blue LED will start blinking and the unit is now in pairing mode.
Connect the hoses
- Cut the tubing according to the position of the pump, water reservoir and number of pots.
- Soaking the head of tubing into hot water for 10s or applying a little vegetable oil on the end of the tubing will ease the installation.
- Connect the tubing to the water inlet and outlet (6, 7)
- Use T fittings to split the watering lines. To avoid leaking , make sure the fittings are pressed as deep into the tubing as they can go.
- Press the drippers into the tubing. Press the drippers deep enough into the soil to make sure water goes to the roots.
- If needed, insert the end plug into the end of tubing.
- If needed, use the hook at the back of the main unit to attach it to the water reservoir.
Correct position of the kit
- Place the main unit higher than the reservoir water level, and make sure the first dripper is higher than the top of the water level in the water reservoir to effectively avoid the siphoning phenomenon. (The siphoning effect will cause the water leaking and over-watering problem).
- We recommend that the height difference between pots and the water pump does not exceed 3m.
Testing before use
Congratulations, you have completed the connection and insta-llation of the
drip irrigation kit. Please test the watering lines for leaks to avoid water
damage before letting the kit run remotely. You can turn the pump on by
pressing the control button (2).
CONNECTION
Download
Tesla Smart is available for both iOS and Android OS. Search the name ‚Tesla
Smart‘ in App Store or Android Market, or scan the QR-Code to download the
App.
Set up router – The device supports only 2.4G
Wi-Fi and does not support 5G WiFi. Please set the parameters of the router
before connecting to the Wi-Fi network, and record the SSID and password of
your Wi-Fi.
Adding a device
- Open the Tesla Smart App and choose to create a new account or log in directly.
- Click the „+“ sign in the upper right corner to add the device.
- Select the product.
- Enter the WiFi password and confirm.
- Follow the instructions. Note: please ensure that the mobile phone and the device are in the same WiFi environment.
- Wait for the device to complete the connection.
- Add device success“ appears to indicate that the device connection was successful.
In the device interface, you can open settings by clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner, here you can set common functions.
Due to the continuous development of the App, the layout and available features may be subject to change.
FUNCTIONS
Manual watering
Your pump has the ability to allow you to manually water without disturbing
the programmed schedule. Manual mode is used to test the device after assembly
or to run an extra watering cycle outside the program. Press the control
button (2) once to active manual watering. The green indicator will light up.
Default runtime is 30 seconds.
You can set the length of the manual watering cycle in app. De-fault runtime
is 30 seconds. The maximum runtime up to 4 min 59 s (5 minutes). Go to device
home screen > tap “Work time“and select desired cycle length. The maximum
manual mode runtime is 4 min 59 s (5 minutes).
You can stop the flow of water at any time, whether it is during manual
watering, or during a programmed time. Press the control button (2) or tap the
watering icon in app to stop watering.
Normal Timing
Normal timing plan lets you water for a particular period in a day. With this
mode, you can set several different watering plans every day. Each watering
plan can be set with different start time, duration and watering day
(frequency).
Cycle Timing
Cycle timing lets you set watering for a certain period during given time in a
day. For example you can set the kit to water for one minute every 5 minutes
from 14:00 to 15:00. This mode can be used for water demanding plants od
during very hot days. This mode helps to soak the soil.
Please be aware your schedules do not overlap.
TROUBLESHOOTING
| Problem | Cause | Solution |

| Pump is not working. | The power is not running to the unit properly. | Unplug, |
then reconnect the USB power adapter.
The pump was not turned on.| Once the device is plugged in, be sure to press
the control button to power the device on.
The kit was not set up properly.| Check your unit that everything is set up
and connected properly. Make sure power adapter is securely connected to timer
and the power supply.
Water is leaking| Water leak out from the bottom of device. Machine may be
defective causing nonstop leakage.| Device defective. Contact your authorized
service center.
Water drop out of the joints.| Make sure all of the spikes are as deep into
the hose as they can go.
Siphoning Effect| Make sure the water source is below the pump ando your pots.
Status indicator is red| Lack of water| Add water to the reservoir
Watering timing does not repeat| Programming was wrong.| Program the watering
time correctly.
