Product Usage Instructions

Camera Installation

  • To pair the camera, open the rubber cover and long press the pair button with a thin stick.
  • The Type-C Charging port is used to charge the camera’s battery using 12V DC power.
  • The battery typically takes 4-6 hours to fully charge.
  • The indicator light shows red when the battery is low, stays red while charging, and indicates sufficient battery when not flashing.

Specification

  • The system is designed to observe surroundings and assist with parking, including a monitor, a camera, and other accessories needed to install. It requires 12-24 Volt Direct Current power to work.
  • To avoid damage caused by electricity shock or improper installation, we recommend a qualified and experienced engineer to install the system for you.

  1. Pair button. Power screen, open the ①rubber cover, and long press it with a thin stick can achieve pairing.
  2. Type-C Charging port. You can charge the camera’s battery using 12-volt direct current power through this port. Usually, the battery can be fully charged in 4-6 hours.
  3. Indicator Light of Power. When the battery is low, the indicator light will be flashing in red. When charging, the light will stay red. When the battery is sufficient, the indicator light is off.
  4. Indicator Light of Pairing. Usually, the camera will pair automatically, otherwise select the pair option and pair them manually. When Pairing is in progress, the light will be flashing in green. When the pairing is successful, the light will stay green. When the screen is off, the light is off.
  5. Camera. This camera is adjustable. You can adjust the lens 60 degrees up and down to obtain the view you want. The camera has a bracket that can be fixed to the license plate, and the camera can be easily installed or removed by pushing. See Part 3 – Installation Guide.
  6. Solar panel. Automatic charging is possible when there is no shade and is illuminated by light.

Buttons on the monitor

There are 5 buttons on the top of the monitor. From left to right, they are +, M, -, A, and SEL. Please read the operation Instructions carefully to learn their functions.

  1. Right/Increase
    • When entering the menu, you can select different options by pressing to move to the right or pressing – to move to the left, and you can choose the options by pressing S.
    • When entering the image settings, you can increase the parameters by pressing and decreasing them by pressing -.
  2. Menu page/Return
    • When you need to set up the system, you can enter the menu by pressing , selecting +, – and confirming the option by S. Only when entering the image settings, the has a selection role, with +, – to make the image adjustments. When finished setting, press to exit options and menus.
  3. Left/Decrease
    • When entering the menu, you can select different options by pressing + to move to the right, or pressing to move to the left, and you can choose the options by pressing S.
    • When entering the image settings, you can increase the parameters by pressing + and decreasing them by pressing
  4. Parking line switch/adjustment is used for DIY reversing lines. There are four options to adjust the reverse line by pressing , height H, width W, position M, and cancel the reverse line. In the H state, the height of the reversing line can be adjusted by pressing +, -. In the W state, the width of the reversing line can be adjusted by pressing +, -. In the M state, the left and right positions of the reversing line can be adjusted by pressing +, -. also has the function of displaying and canceling the reversing line.
  5. Selection
    • After pressing M to enter the primary menu, press the to select the setting items and enter. After pressing S to enter the secondary menu, press the to confirm the option and exit the secondary menu.

Introduction to Accessories

Monitor activate button

  1. It’s used to light up the screen when you need to see through the camera.
  2. It needs to be paired with the monitor before use. Normally, the Pairing is done Before leaving our factory. But you need to repair the button if it is lost paired. See 4.2 for details on how to pair.

Cigarette lighter

  1. It’s used to provide power to the screen.
  2. The red button above the cigarette lighter turns on/ off the power.

Monitor Mount

  1. It’s used to hold the monitor in the desired position.
  2. Two types of mounts are available depending on the need.

Camera bracket

  1. It’s used to fix the camera to the license plate.

Antenna

  1. It’s used to strengthen the signal connection between the camera and the monitor.
  2. It needs to be installed behind the monitor before pairing.

Plastic nut

  1. It’s used to fix the monitor and the monitor mount.

USB charging cable

  1. It’s used to connect the charger and the camera.

Screws

  1. It’s used to fix the camera bracket to the license plate.

Installation Guide

Make an Installation Plan

  • Before installation, we recommend you spend a little time testing the system. This can help you confirm whether the system works normally before you install it on your vehicle.
  • You can use a 12-24V power supply to power up the monitor and camera. Our camera has been paired with the monitor before they leave our factory.
  • If you want to pair the camera with another channel, please see 4.2 pairing for detailed pairing notes and methods.
  • Based on our experience, we recommend you follow the sequence below to finish the installation:
  1. Install monitor
  2. Install camera
  3. Connect monitor and camera to power supply
  4. Adjust the lens of a camera according to your needs

Monitor Installation

There are two bracket options for screen mounting. It can be mounted to the dashboard or the windshield.

  1. Mount the antenna to the back of the monitor.
  2. Select a bracket. Place the plastic nut behind the bracket gimbal as shown in the picture.
  3. Insert the bracket gimbal into the gimbal mount at the back of the monitor, as shown in the picture.
  4. Place the base in the right position and choose the right angle of the monitor. Then tighten the plastic nut with the gimbal mount at the back of the monitor. Now, the monitor has been fixed with the monitor mount.
  5. When you use the suction cup holder, first open the suction cup locking buckle as shown in the position. Wet the suction cup with water, fixed in the ideal position, then press the suction cup locking buckle. Complete the installation.
  6. When you use the glued simple holder, first stick the 3M double-sided tape to the bottom of the holder. Choose the ideal position and press the base of the holder down hard to complete the fixation.
  7. Insert the Type-C of the cigarette lighter connection cable into the Type-C socket at the back of the monitor, Insert the cigarette lighter into the car cigarette lighter base and press the red button above the cigarette lighter to light up it.
  8. Screen installation and connection is complete. Press the screen on/off key to use.

Camera Installation

  1. Remove the license plate screws. Place the camera bracket in front of the license plate.
    • The bracket direction as shown In the picture.
    • The screw holes on both sides correspond to the license plate screw holes.

  2. Hold the camera close to the bracket, the camera direction as shown in the picture (logo on top). Push the camera hard from the right side to the left side. When you hear a click, you can confirm that it is installed.eRapta-ATYZX5-Solar-Wireless-Backup-Camera-FIG-25
  3. Check whether the camera has been firmly fixed. Adjust the camera tilt angle to find the most suitable viewing angle.
  4. When you want to remove it, press the camera against the bracket and push it out from the left side to the right side with force. To prevent it from falling off easily, we tightened the fixing clips. So when you take it off, you need to use more force.

System Operation

  • This part describes the functions of 5 panels in menu page. You can press M to enter the menu page and adjust settings by buttons on the monitor.
  • When you move the cursor to a panel or a sub-panel, its icon will become gray. You can know where your cursor by icons’ colors.

  • Before leaving our factory, the camera has already been paired with the monitor. Generally, the product is automatically paired when the screen is on.
  • But you need to re-pair the camera if it lost paired. We recommend you finish pairing before installing the system on your vehicle, because the monitor and camera needs to be within 3 feet in pairing.
  1. Camera system pairing

If you need to do it manually, here are the steps:

  1. Power up the monitor.
  2. Open the rubber cover on the pairing button of the camera, and long press it with a thin stick until the system is paired
  3. and the flash green light stays on.
  • If it’s still not paired, then follow these steps. Press to enter menu page. Press to select the (Pairing setting). Press to confirm the then long press it with a thin stick until the system is paired successfully and the flash green light stays on.

Pairing tips:

  • Make sure the monitor has installed the antenna.
  • Keep the camera and monitor within 3 feet.

  • Tips: When you select off to make the monitor stay on, it will speed up the power consumption and the life of the camera battery.
  • When you set a certain duration(45s,60s,90s), you need to press the monitor activate button again to light up it before each use.
  • You can stick the button to the steering wheel or a more convenient place for easy access.

FAQ

  1. Q: How to solve the problem of “black screen”?
    • A: Check if the screen and camera are successfully paired. Check if the camera has power, and check if the car charger can power the screen.
  2. Q: Why does the monitor activate button not match and not work?
    • A: The monitor activate button needs to be connected to the screen. So this activate button has a lithium battery inside.
    • Therefore, it may have run out of the battery when the activate button is not working. Replace the battery and pair it with the monitor again then it will work properly.
    • You can contact us if it have run out of the battery or still not working.
