Product Usage Instructions

Softail Installation:

1. Locate the OEM horn and remove it along with the plastic cady and OEM horn bracket.
2. Disconnect electrical connections and save the OEM Torx screws and bolt.
3. Remove flat OEM horn bracket and OEM horn from the OEM Y bracket.
4. Reinstall OEM Y bracket to the plastic cady using original Torx screws.
5. Mount the Electromagnetic Horn to the included Softail Mounting Bracket and tighten the supplied nut.
6. Connect the motorcycle’s horn wires to the Electromagnetic Horn terminals.
7. Mount the Electromagnetic Horn with the Softail Mounting Bracket to the Motorcycle using the original bolt.
8. Test the Electromagnetic Horn for proper operation before riding.

Dyna Fitment:

1. Remove OEM horn from the OEM horn mounting bracket and disconnect wiring from the horn terminals.
2. Mount Electromagnetic Horn to the OEM horn.

ATTENTION
Please read all information below before Installation

Warning: Disconnect negative battery cable from battery; refer to owner’s manual. Failure to do so may result in electrical shock, injury, or fire. Se- cure negative battery cable away from positive side of battery and all other positive voltage sources on vehicle.

Safety First: Always wear appropriate safety gear including safety glasses when performing any electrical work. It is highly recommended that safety glasses be worn throughout this installation process. Be sure vehicle is on level surface, secure and cool.

Installation Instructions

Softail Installation

1. Locate the OEM horn on the front of the motorcycle in be-tween the front down tubes of the frame. Remove the OEM bolt that holds on the plastic cady and OEM horn bracket. Lower the plastic cady and OEM horn down to access the two Torx fasteners. See Figure 1.

2. Remove OEM horn with OEM Y bracket assembly from the plastic cady by removing the two Torx screws on either side of the OEM Y bracket. Disconnect electrical connec-tions. Save both OEM Torx screws and bolt for reinstalla-tion. See Figure 1.

3. Remove flat OEM horn bracket and OEM horn from the OEM Y bracket by loosening both Torx fasteners. Set aside the OEM flat bracket, OEM horn and two Torx fasteners as they will not be used for reinstallation. Shown in Figure 2.

4. The two included flat brackets will not be used. Shown in Figure 3.

5. Reinstall OEM Y bracket to the plastic cady using original Torx screws.

6. Mount the Electromagnetic Horn to the included Softail Mounting Bracket. (The smaller diameter hole on the Softail Mounting Bracket is in-tended for the Horn). Tighten the supplied nut on the Electromagnetic Horn stud.

7. Connect the motorcycle’s horn wires to the Electromagnetic Horn terminals.
   Note : The terminals on the horn are not polari-ty sensitive.

8. Using the original bolt from Step 1. Mount the Electromagnetic Horn with the included Softail Mounting Bracket attached to the Motorcycle. Shown in Figure 4.
   Note : Low Rider ST models, the Horn and included bracket assembly will have to be adjusted so that the Electromagnetic Horn is spaced off of the fairing brace bar.

9. Test the Electromagnetic Horn for proper operation before riding.

Dyna Fitment:

1. Remove OEM horn from the OEM horn mounting bracket by loosening the horn mounting nut. Disconnect wiring from the horn terminals and set the OEM horn aside. Note: the included Softail Mounting Bracket will not be used in this application.
2. The two included flat brackets will not be used. Shown in Figure 3 on Page 2.
3. Mount Electromagnetic Horn to the OEM horn mounting bracket. Tighten the supplied nut on the Electromagnetic Horn stud.
4. Connect the motorcycle’s horn wires to the Electromagnetic Horn terminals. Note: The terminals on the horn are not polarity-sensitive.
5. Ensure that the female spade connectors that are connected to the horn do not touch the OEM horn mounting bracket or frame. It may be necessary to bend the horn’s male spade terminals, slightly, if necessary.
6. Test the Electromagnetic Horn for proper operation before riding.
