MB 30 Matte Box Setup
Matte Box Assembly
- Release both the knobs on either side of the matte box to insert the filter trays.
Filter Tray Assembly

Insert the filter trays and then tighten the knobs.
NOTE: We have included two stops at the bottom to prevent filters from falling off. -
Use the Allen key to affix both the trays.
Adapter Rings Assembly
- Stretch the 124-87mm plastic adapter ring and insert the 124mm metal ring into the former, as shown in the image.
- The assembly will look like this.
- Now, loosen the knob of the conversion ring holder and insert the plastic ring into it, as shown in the image.
- Now, tighten the knob of the ring holder.
- Insert camera (Not Included) into the matte box’s ring as shown in the image.
- Unlock the knob of your tripod (Not Included) and press the quick release button, as shown in the image.
- Now remove the plate (by sliding) from the tripod by pushing the quick release button.
- Attach the removed plate to the bottom of the camera and then tighten it with a screw.
- Then mount the assembly (Not Included) on top of the tripod by sliding.
- Now, lock the knob of the tripod as shown in the image.
- Open the carbon fiber flag of the matte box.
Matte Box With Fabric Knicker Setup
- Loosen and remove both the screws of the matte box using the T-Type Allen Key.
15mm LWS Rod Bracket Assembly
- Now, attach the 15mm LWS Rod Bracket to the matte box.
- Screw the LWS Rod Bracket to the matte box with the T-Type Allen key.
Adapter Ring Assembly
- Loosen the knob of the conversion ring holder and insert the 124mm Metal Ring into it, as shown in the image.
- Now, tighten the knob of the conversion ring holder, as shown in the image.
- The matte box would look like this after following all the instructions correctly.
NOTE: It accommodates two 4 x 5.65″ filter trays, and both get clamped on a filter holder at the front of the Matte Box frame.
Fabric Knicker Assembly
- Cover the attached ring with the 124mm fabric knicker and then tighten it.
- The matte box would look like this after following the above instructions.
Universal Base Plate Assembly

Now, loosen the quick-release knob of the universal base plate to remove the dovetail camera plate (Not Included).

Attach the Dovetail camera plate to the camera and secure it properly using a screwdriver (Not Included).

Insert 2 rods (Not Included) into the universal base plate holes and then affix them with the camera base by sliding.

Then, lock the center knob to secure it.

Loosen the knob of the 15mm LWS Rod Bracket, and then insert the rods (Not Included) into the LWS Rod Bracket.
NOTE: The included 15mm Rod adapter allows you to convert the matte box from clip-on mount to rod mount, as and when needed, making it usable for multiple different setups. -
Then, lock the knob of the LWS Rod Bracket.

Cover the camera lens (Not Included) withthe other end of the Fabric Knicker.

Attach the removed plate to the bottom of the universal base plate and screw it tightly.

Remove the plate (by sliding) from the tripod by pushing the quick-release button.

Mount the camera setup on the tripod by sliding and secure it by locking the knob of the tripod.
