The Explorer Pan Tilt Head is a precision-engineered product that is easy to operate and a silent companion for capturing smooth and stable shots with your camera. It is designed to be used with a jib crane and comes with a controller box, universal adapter, 12V AC adapter, 15mtr cable, 3mtr cable, pan tilt head, 4 x knobs, 4 x bolts (Sizes: 1/4-1), 2 x camera bolts (Sizes: 1/4-20 , 3/8-16), 2 x fuse, 4 x washers, O-ring, 4 x bolts (Sizes: 1/4-3/4), 4 x bolts (Sizes: 1/4-5/8), bolt, 2 x L-Type Allen keys (Sizes: 2mm, 3/16), 1 x spanner (Size: 13), and 3 x T-Type Allen Keys (Sizes: 2.5mm, 4mm, 5mm).
Product Usage Instructions
What’s In The Box:
Inspect the contents of the shipped package to ensure you have received everything listed in the manual. The package should include:

Balancing Tips:
Note that you can only balance the camera on the head after detaching the motor gear; otherwise, the motor will not function properly. Adjust the camera angle upside down to capture graceful bird’s eye view shots at ease. This product is suitable for surroundings such as sports events, small and large studios, churches, parliaments, etc.
Explorer Pro Pan Tilt Head Setup:
Connect the controller box to the pan tilt head using the cables provided. Any 12-volt battery may operate this pan tilt head as long as the connector and the #1 negative pin & #4 positive pin of the cable meet together.
Pan Tilt Setup:
The joystick remote controller provides a great range of pan and tilt speed control with an excellent rotation for a complete revolution in any axis. The speed controller adjusts the speed of pan & tilt based on the requirement of the shot. Damping control prevents the Head from stopping with a jerk enabling you to achieve smooth endings. You can reverse the panning & tilting direction as & when required.
Camera Mounting Setup:
Attach the camera to the pan tilt head using the camera bolts provided. Adjust the camera angle as required for your shot.

Balancing Tips

Before balancing the camera, Detach the motor gear assembly from the head.
NOTE: You can only balance the camera on the head after detaching the motor gear; otherwise, the motor will not function properly. -
Then mount your camera on the explorer head’s camera plate.

Horizontally balance your camera by placing the camera in the center of the camera plate.

After that, vertically balance your camera by loosening the side knob and increasing it to the desired height, then tighten the knob properly.

The camera is now balanced both vertically and horizontally.

Now, reattach the motor gear to the head.
NOTE: Make sure that the camera is balanced in all directions depending on its weight so that the motor can function properly when attached.
Explorer Pro Pan Tilt Head Setup
NOTE: Proaim Explorer Pan-Tilt head is precisely engineered, easy to operate & a silent companion for accurate panning & tilting motions.
- Loosen the Pan Tilt Head’s Knob and increase its height.
- Then properly tighten the knob, as shown in the image.
Connections of Controller Box

Connect the male end of the cable to the female end of the Pan Tilt.

Connect the female end of the cable to the controller box.
NOTE: Any 12 volt battery may operate this Pan Tilt Head as long as the Connector and the #1 Negative pin & #4 Positive pin of Cable meet together. -
Attach the Power cable to the AC adapter.

Attach the second end of the power cable to the universal adapter.

Insert the 12-volt AC adapter (4 pin XLR) in the controller box.
NOTE: If the Joystick Control is opposite, undo the connectors of motors, rotate 180° and re-install. -
Switch ON the controller box, as shown in the image.

Increase/decrease the Panning speed as per your requirements and set the damping.

To change the direction of Panning move the joy-stick to the left and right. And to change the direction of the Tilt, move the joystick back and forth/ up and down.

Pan-Tilt Direction -You can reverse the panning & tilting direction as & when required. NOTE: This 2-Axis pan-tilt head facilitates effortless continuous 360° rotation on both horizontal and vertical axis that gives the operator full freedom to capture any desired angle.
Pan Tilt Setup
- Properly slide the Pan Tilt into the Jib Arm, as shown in the image.
- Insert both the knobs and tighten them securely. Follow the same process to insert knobs at the backside as well.
Camera Mounting Setup
- Insert the bolt and mount the camera (Note Included) properly.
NOTE: Adjusting the Camera Angle upside down you capture graceful bird’s eye view shots at ease & it is Suitable for surroundings such as sports events, small and large studios, churches, parliaments, etc.
