American International MITK894 Dash Kit
DASH DISASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
- Lower the glove box, on the right side find and remove one screw and remove small panel.
- Remove one screw from the long side to side dash panel. Then gently pry on the panel and remove it from the right to left.
- Remove the three screws from the hazard button assembly. Pull the assembly and then disconnect the harness/ribbon cable.
- Carefully unsnap the main radio/dash panel by gently popping the factory panel clips out. Remove the factory air vents for use in the MITK894.
- Now you can remove the four screws holding the OEM radio.
Disconnect the wire harness and antenna lead and remove the radio
ISO SINGLE MOUNT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Remove the factory radio mounting brackets from the OEM radio. Save the screws for step 2.

Attach the new radio (without the metal sleeve and radio face trim ring) to the top of the factory radio mounting brackets, using the screws from the OEM radio in step 1.
Make all you’re wiring antenna connections and reinstall in factory dash location, leaving enough room above the radio for the pocket. -
Install the pocket supplied with the MITK894 to the lower opening of the main frame, using the 2 Phillips screws provided.

Reinstall the air vents into the MITK894.

Reinstall/connect the hazard switch assembly on to the MITK894 using the factory hardware.

Snap the MITK894 into place, making sure that it is aligned correctly with the new radio.
Note: This kit is an ISO mount only kit. (The metal sleeve that comes with your new radio cannot be used)
Note: The display features above the radio will not be retained after removal of the factory radio on vehicles equipped with The Rockford Fosgate sound system.
ISO DOUBLE MOUNT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Remove the factory radio mounting brackets from the OEM radio. Save the screws for step 2.

Attach the new radio to the factory radio mounting brackets, using the screws from the
OEM radio in step 1. Make all you’re wiring antenna connections and reinstall in factory dash location. -
Reinstall the air vents into the MITK894.

Reinstall/connect the hazard switch assembly on to the MITK894 using the factory hardware.

Snap the MITK894 into place, making sure that it is aligned correctly with the new radio.
