OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Before the first use
Prior to operating a new appliance for the first time, wipe it with a wet and thena dry cloth.

Ventilation mode
In this mode, the exhausted vapors are ventilated through the output pipe into the airing shaft and out of the room. If the carbon filter is installed in the appliance, remove it (Refer to the Cleaning and Maintenance chapter).

Re-circulation mode
If you have no possibility to exhaust the air out of the room, the re- circulation mode can be selected. In this mode, the exhausted vapours are filtered by metal filters and the carbon filter. The active carbon in this filter absorbs smells and the cleaned air flows back in the room through the holes in the upper chimney cover. For this mode, it is necessary additionally to buy and install the corresponding carbon flter (see the paragraph Cleaning and maintenance).

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Prior to any maintenance or cleaning, disconnect the power cord from the mains or switch off the circuit breaker of the appliance mains outlet.
  • Do not immerse the supply cable, the plug, or the appliance itself in water or any other liquid.
  • Set all controls to the OFF position.
