Installation
Tips Before Installation
a. Recommended Tools: Power Drill, Phillips Screwdriver
b. Unpack the product and check whether the product is damaged.
c. It is notrecommended to instal the camera on the opposite side of the
security light. Because infrared rays will cause the security light to not
work properly.
If you still want it to be installed, please avoid direct infrared radiation
or reflection on the sensor.
d. If you want to install two security lights in the same location, the
distance between the two lights should be kept at least 16.4ft.
e. The installation location should avoid being close to heat generating
device, such as air conditioner vents, which will cause abnormal sensors.
f. Find a location above 5.9ft for installation, vertical installation (wall
mount) should not be lower than 5.9ft, horizontal installation (eave mount) is
recommended to install at a height of about 8.2ft.
g. Ensure that your solar panel is placed in an area exposed to optimal sunlight. Be mindful of objects such as trees or property overhangs that could obstruct the panel’s ability to generate a charge.
Installation Steps
-
Install the mounting plate
Use a power drill (not included) to drill the holes on your chosen mounting surface. Use 2 of the drywall anchors and screws to fasten the mounting plate on the wall. Buckle the motion light into the mounting plate securely.
Now installation is finished. But if sunlight cannot reach solar panel with it mounted on top of flood light, Please continue following steps. -
Split mounting
Optional: Use a power drill (not included) to drill the holes on the wall. Use 2 of the included drywall anchors and screws to fasten the solar panel to the surface.
-
Connect solar panel to the light Before using the solar security light, the solar panel needs to be connected to the light.
-
Installation completed
It is recommended that the light be charged for 8-10 hours in sunlight to ensure that the battery has enough power to make the light work. Your solar motion light will now begin to charge and work.
Tips: The sensor will be more sensitive to motion across than motion towards it directly.

Care & Maintenance
-
From time to time, ensure the plug between the solar panel and light is securely connected. It is advisable to adjust the angle of the solar panel to optimize the exposure of the sun in winter.
-
The solar panel should be cleaned by a damp cotton cloth on a regular basis.
This will ensure optimal performance and battery charging. Periodically, utilize the same way to clean the lenses of the security I ight. -
Do not let any abrasive material contact with the solar panel.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where should the solar panel be mounted?
A: Mount your solar panel in a position where the most amount of sunlight to be absorbed. In the Northern Hemisphere this is usually south facing.
Q: Does the solar panel require the direct sun to charge?
A: The solar panel can charge the internal batteries with direct and indirect light. For the best results, please try to optimize your solar panel's sun exposure.
Q: Can additional or extended cable wire for the solar panel be purchased?
A: There are no extensions available for the cable that connects the light to the solar panel. Any malfunction caused by other cable additions will invalidate the warranty.
Q: Will the decorative light or streetlight effect the operation ability of the motion sensor?
A: Yes, it will. The sensor of security light is light-sensitive. For night usage, ensure there is no other light activating the motion sensor.
Q: How many hours will this solar light stay on?
A: After fully charged, it can work for 12-15 hours in 15% brightness. In winter, the sunshine is low, the battery activity is low, the working time will be shorter.
Trouble Shooting
QUESTION | REASON | MEASURE |
---|---|---|
The light does not work when motion is detected | 1. Lights are not in |
working hours.
2.Sening distance or angle is set at minimum
position.
3. The battery may be out of power.| 1. Check working time settings.
2.Adjust sensing distance to the end of “+” and adjust the direction of sensor
head.
3. Place the solar panel in the sunshine to charge it or replace the
batteries.
The light works during the day in Motion Mode| Check that the photon sensor
function is turned off in run mode.| Turn on the photon sensor function.
The Light flashes.| There is lighting, welding. mobile sources or other
such unstable light.| Avoid to irradiate by such light source.
Slow charging, fast power consumption, short working time| 1. Insufficient
sunlight in rainy days and winter, resulting in insufficient power.
2. The surface of the solar panel is covered by dust and snow.
3. Battery aging.| 1. Clean the solar panels;
2. Replace the battery;
3. Choose a shorter sensing distance, reduce triggering, and extend working
time.
Detection distance is short or limted.| 1. Environment temperature is high.
2. Sensor direction setting error.
3. Sensor is set at minimum position.| 1. Please check whether the
environment temperature is high. If the environment temperature is high, it
will affect the detection distance.
2. Adjust the direction of the sensor head downward from a horizontal angle
to achieve the best detection distance. The detection distance is directly
related to the orientation of the sensor head.
3. Adjust detection distance to the end of “+”and adjust the direction of
sensor head.
