FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

  1. Q: How often should I change the dressing?
A: The recommended frequency for changing the dressing is every 7 days or as advised by your healthcare professional. However, if the dressing becomes soiled, loose, or damaged, it should be replaced immediately.

  2. Q: Can I take a shower or bath with the dressing on?
A: Yes, the 3MTM TegadermTM PICC and Midline Dressing is waterproof and allows you to take showers or baths without compromising its adhesion or integrity. However, avoid excessive rubbing or scrubbing of the dressing during bathing.

  3. Q: Can I cut the dressing to fit smaller catheter sites?
A: No, it is not recommended to cut the dressing as it may compromise its performance and increase the risk of contamination. Always select a dressing size that adequately covers the entire insertion site.
