Product Information: 3MTM PPSTM Series 2.0 Spray Cup System

The 3MTM PPSTM Series 2.0 Spray Cup System is a tool used for spraying high viscosity coatings, sprayable fillers, high build primer, primer surfacer, wet-on-wet primer, primer sealer, direct gloss, single-stage topcoat, solvent base color, clear coat, waterborne base coat, UV primers, midcoat/effect coats, and smart/spot repair. The system has a disposable liner that can be inserted into the mixing cup for easy cleaning and maintenance. The lid of the 3MTM PPSTM Series 2.0 Spray Cup System has a built-in filter that helps to prevent contamination during the painting process.

Operating Pressure Range

The operating pressure range for the 3MTM PPSTM Series 2.0 Spray Cup System is between 7 psi – 37 psi (0.5 bar – 2.6 bar). It is important to maintain the recommended pressure setting on the Atomizing Head Air Cap to ensure safe function of the spray gun.

Assembly

  1. Attach the supplied air flow valve to the bottom of the gun.3M 26778 Performance Spray Gun-fig-1
  2. Attach the nozzle to the spray gun with the locking collar fully connected. To remove the nozzle from the spray gun, reverse the process.3M 26778 Performance Spray Gun-fig-2

  4. Once the spray gun is properly assembled, attach the air line.

Recommended Set Up Starting Points

  • Fan control knob: Open 1.5 turns for HVLP nozzles, 2.5 turns for Fine Finish nozzles from closed position
  • Fluid control knob: Open 4 rotations from closed position

Adding the 3MTM PPSTM Series 2.0 Spray Cup System Components

  1. Insert the 3MTM PPSTM Series 2.0 Spray Cup System disposable liner into the mixing cup.
  2. Pour material to be sprayed into the mixing cup and stir as needed.
  3. Place the lid with built-in filter on top of the mixing cup with liner and snap into place.3M 26778 Performance Spray Gun-fig-4
  4. Turn until tight. Insert the sealing plug prior to shaking or sealing.

Cleaning
  1. Once coating application is complete, disconnect the air hose from the gun.
  2. Tap the 3MTM PPSTM Series 2.0 cup on a table 3 times.
  3. Rinse out nozzle spout and flush cleaning solvent through the nozzle by pulling the trigger with fluid tip pointed straight down into a receptacle to collect waste solvent.
  4. Store spray gun with a clean nozzle attached to protect the needle.

Note: Do not put Spray Gun/Spray Gun Body in a Gun Washer.3M 26778
